Very nice A4 Avant

Audi A4 Avant 3.0 TDI quattro tiptronic S-line

New € 105.000,-
Now € 85.000,-

I believe that is RS4 money in Holland, and probably R8 money in dollars.

+ having 15k km on the odometer...

I`d get a AM Vantage V8 for this kind of money.

why is it so expensive?

What`s the tax rate you have in the Netherlands?

For example:

Base price 100.000,-
BPM 45,2% = 45.200,-
BTW 19% = 19.000,-
-----------------------------------+
Total 164.200,-

BPM = Extra tax on motor vehicles.
BTW = VAT

@ youngbimmer, this car is really fully loaded, all the factory options. But as far as I can see, no exclusive options selected. Which means you can add another €40K or so if you want that.

By the way, the VAT tax is deductable if the car is registered on a company's name / business lease, so that saves you something.

damn...
what a shame, this BPM tax is really a pain in the a*s

I always thought that huge taxation on cars would only be the case in parts of Asia..

I guess it`s very tempting to buy a car abroad and get it registered in Germany or France by a friend or relative

A LOT of used cars from Germany go to Holland. Lots of Audi's and BMW's, no older than 24 months, ex factory cars and such. You'd be stupid to buy new in Holland when you can import an almost-new from Germany for way less money.

Sadly no, AofA confirmed no B8 S4 Avant is coming to the US. The B7 S4 Avant was imported in only several hundred examples and at the end AofA felt it is not worth it given the low production numbers.
