I love the look of the S5, but there isn't enough power for me. Has anyone gotten any decent gains out of modding the S5 V8, with either twin turbo's or other ways like, heads, cams etc?

 

i havent heard of anyone running turbos but there are three supercharger options for s4/rs4s which are very close and could work with a little modification.

 

im wondering the same thing. Im looking at the s5 for my next car along with a cls 55. I test drove the s5 and LOVE it ,but it wasnt fast enough. I heard a rumor that a supercharger system has been made but do not know where to find it.

Wow, didn't know about this kit. I'm glad that:

a) someone has actually driven this around
b) there is an engine bay shot
c) twin-screw technology is used
d) hood did not have to be modified.

Lots of good things about this. Since their estimated $35k includes the big brake kit, coilovers, wheels, exhaust, body kit, etc I'm wondering how much the supercharger kit by itself is.

 

Might be expensive for now nut when other companies begin developing superchargers or even turbo kits, prices will fall. Id buy a S5/S4/RS4 if there was a reasonably priced FI kit.

 

I thought we were still in two-week-mode I gave up on my B7 S4 two years ago because we were perpetually there. Are they putting down 500WHP yet? What's the most people have seen out of the 4.2 V8?

AWE Tuning and VF engineering partnered to make a SC option for the 4.2 V8 found in B6 and B7 S4's (the non FSI engine) and all the lucky people who have test cars LOVE it! However I believe the B7 S4 Avant that AWE was using had its lease expire so I think the project that was almost done got put on hold. I think it was pushing ~495bhp? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
