2003 rs6
2003 rs6
Needed a bigger car for daily use, but didn't want to sacrifice too much in terms of performance from the TT. Also, need AWD. So... searched long and hard for this and just bought a 2003 RS6. The stock car is 450 hp/413 lbs of torque. I immediately
-- flashed ECU with REVO,
-- added new 19" (R8 style) rims,
-- updated nav to current A6 unit,
-- slight window tint (35%)
The car seats 5 and now (post flash) has 515 hp/500 lbs torque. My best guess is 0-60 in about 4.4-4.5 sec (stock car with 450 hp is rated at 4.6 sec). So far, I am very happy with it. A few pics:

I missed the 12k car by a few days-- that was probably the lowest mileaged RS6 in the country. Maybe even too low (2k miles a year?).
My car has 48k miles. I sprung for a 4 year/48k mile aftermarket warranty too (warranty company--CNA--is accepted by Audi dealers). So car is now covered until 2013/98k miles. All in (car+mods+warranty) I still came out a few Gs under $40k, which was my self-imposed budget. Not bad.
I think the '03 RS6s, if you can find one without tons of mileage, is the best value out there in the super sedan space.
I got the rims here: http://www.powerwheelspro.com/shop/index.php?cPath=21.
I've been a regular on RS6.com for some time. Thanks.

Nice car! I love the 2003 RS6. Id like to get one as my daily driver to compliment my GT-R.
Hoping to find one with under 40k miles sometime next year when Im ready to get one.
Cool ride, it brought back great memories!

Pros: very fast, roomy back seat, handles very well for 4000 lb car, "S" mode is best automatic I've ever driven;
Cons: Needs a more aggressive look, interior a bit chintsy, needs better nav system ($1500 aftermarket upgrade)
Overall, very happy with car!
