Question BBS LM on RS4

I recently bought a set of BBS LMs and I wanted to use the stock TPMS sensors and I was told the valves were to big.

Which way do I go - new valves or drill the wheels???

Thanks,

-SE

I would buy new valves if they are available. Thanks for the compliments in my thread BTW. Post pics up when you get the wheels on. I am so undecided. What are the tire/wheel specs?

Thanks - they are 19X8.5s ET 32s and for now I'm going to run the stock tire until their worn out. I'm also going to add 10mm spacers

I definitely wouldn't drill them. Call the guys at TireRack and see what they recommend regarding the stems.

Thanks, I called Tirerack, but the guy I talked with wasn't sure, so I ended up calling BBS and I have a set getting Fed-Ex'd for delivery tomorrow (hopefully they fit and the Audi dealer knows what to do with them - not the best experience so far)

That's surprising since they sell LM's for Audis as well as OEM Audi TPMS sensors. FYI- Doc is the Audi specialist there. Do you remember who you spoke with?

Don't remember his name, but he did check with someone else overnight (I guess his "techs" were out when I called) and he e-mailed me back today, but I was in a bit of a rush, as the car is at the shop waiting and I wanted them delivered tomorrow. I had called Vivid and they told me to drill 'em.

Definitely, I want to get the spacers and my Tubi on there, then I will do a big photo session (probably about 2 weeks away)

You might consider just putting in regular valve stems and turning off TPMS via VAG-COM.

Thanks man - I got the new valve stems in the interim and everything is working well - now, I just need my spacers to arrive, so it can be finished!

Try not to drill them unless it's a certified driller with diamond tip tooling for precision.

While I will take some "real" photos after I get the Tubi installed this weekend, here's some quick ones with my phone...
