Switching from Cayenne Turbo to S4

Looking for a new DD and will be selling my 05 Cayenne Turbo fairly soon and looking for an s4. Originally I was going to go with a b7 but now I'm thinking about the b8. I am getting rid of the cayenne in order to get something a little more fun and involving to drive as well as more reliable.

I've already driven the b7 and really enjoyed it, and will be going to test drive the b8 sometime this week.

I like the better weight distribution and better gas mileage of the b8

Any reasons or suggestions to go for one over the other?

go with the B8 S4. it looks better, it is faster and gets better gas mileage. the V6 supercharged has more potential if you are interested in modifying it as well.

S4

Mostly the engine,not anything like a V8, A REAL P.O.S.
The car is very quiet, no rumble at all from exhaust unless u switch gears at high RPM.
The car is well built and very comfortable but very BORING. I've had many 1.8Ts that are more fun.
AVRUM
I also have every option, so AUDI can't say somethings missing.

I've owned both and the B8 blows away the B6/7. If you're upset about the exhaust note, change the exhaust.

Stock for stock, the B8 is way quicker.... it's also better balanced, gets better gas mileage and is slightly larger.

I put a non-resonated Miltek on mine and it's quite aggressive... I'll try and attach a sound clip or two.

I also put an aftermarket intake on it, so that's why you hear the super charger whine.

Arena994 - I lively engine is a must for me so I'll have to see what the 3.0 is like during the test drive.

DrVolkl- that sounds awesome! Not to sure on moding right away as I don't want to lose warranty

An aftermarket exhaust won't void the warranty. Most dealerships are pretty cool with just about anything you do. Also, the Stasis/APR chip is out for these cars.

People are running ~12.6 in the 1/4 mile with these cars chipped... ~12.9 stock.

A 100 octane tune did a 12.2... this engine is anything but a POS.

I'll double check with the dealer then and see what they will allow.

The Stasis tune and exhaust does look very enticing

B8

Because I leased the car, i don't want to Mod it all. that would be a total waste. The MB C63 is TOTALLY UNBELEIVABLE from the showroom floor.
i will prob get another very soon.

IMO, make the move to a B8 or keep the CTT. I have owned a B7 and actually sold it for a CTT ;-) Havent looked back.

The B7 is a very well built, reliable DD but heavy and a bit down on power. Despite the CTT is a truck its more fun to drive IMO...

Also never liked the B7 as much as my B5 ;-) (still have the B5, sold the B7)

I think maybe you are just bored and want a change because the CTT can be a VERY fun involving ride, certainly more so than a S4. I do understand the desire for better reliability though. Not sure if the B8 is your answer there either.

gaspasser19 - I will definitely miss the unbelievable feeling of all that mass moving so quickly and effortlessly, and the shock of such a huge car handling so well The cayenne really is a wonderful combination of sportiness, luxury, and utility.I'm really missing that warranty though.

As for the B8 I am still heavily leaning that way and I wouldn't mind taking it to the dealership every now and then (as long as I'm back under warranty). I think a B8 fulfills all my criteria (and is most likely one of the best options for me) but I am still test driving and looking around at other options. Got any suggestions???

maybe I'll wait a while after I sell my cayenne and find a nice CPO'd 911 c4s

I think if you are into V8s you should check out an 08 RS 4. It is unbelievable! It looks schweet and has serious power. Test drive both, then see what you like the most.
