4 yrs 50K mile full warranty. I got the "Audi Care" package for all regular scheduled maintenance stuff - so $0.00 out of pocket for basically anyting but tires.

pedah3 - thank you and what an awesome collection of cars you have! How much was audi care for R8? If I recall for an S5, it was very reasonable.

The reasons for my asking is I didin't know if there was some special maintenance that was required after x # of years or miles that was going to cost me arm and leg since it's got the lambo v10...

I dont remember the exact cost, but it was far less than the individual services added up. Something like $1500 I think for the first 4 yrs service. Its a no-brainer purchase as it can be transferred if the car is sold prior to the warranty ending. Its also a nice item to negogiate - some dealers may "throw in" as part of the deal.
I have not heard of any super-expensive maintenance needed beyond the warranty period. Granted repairing most all Audi's post-warranty can get pricey.

When I bought my 2009 R8 I got them to throw in the Audi Care since they wouldn't budge on price. Cost of it would have been about $850, Same price they were charging for any car which was a great deal since just an oil change on a R8 is expensive. Heard they were going to change and start pricing according to the model and sounds like they did

Don't have actual dollars amounts, but in general it's pretty cheap. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Pedah, post some pics of your purple R8. Looks interesting.

How much do the oil changes run? Would definitely love an R8 in the future. My buddy that races exotics says the R8 is solid unlike the lambos that keep going in for repair.

Isn't the drivetrain pretty much shared between the Audi R8 and the Gallardo?

Not sure of cost since I have Audi care and costs me nothing. But it takes over 10 quarts and has 3 oil drains so am sure it's not cheap. Car has been rock solid and zero problems even after adding supercharger.

I just picked up a 2010 R8 V10 also got the Audi Care package.

I dont see the maintenance being much more than standard maintenance on a Porsche otherwise, but if you have the ability to get Audi Care definitely do it.

Pays for itself after a few visits and you get peace of mind.

Definitely buy the Audi Easy Care plan. Pays for itself and is around $1,000 up front. It is transferable if buying used and can be purchased at any time.

Aside from something breaking I think you are looking at more or less the same on maintenance costs.

I have read an oil change is $900. Is this true on the V10?
