Around here they make you feel special if they don't add a 'market adjustment' to the price!

Below MSRP, that's a good one.

Yes ive been reseraching these for the last few weeks and called several dealerships. They only have 8% markup or so and arent willing to budge much unless they have a few in inventory. On top of that, used one only sell for 20k or so below a brand new one! Unless you find a really good deal id say its way better to buy new. but then you have the 4 month wait time ;(

There was a white one that was listed on eBay a few months ago that was trying to get less than MSRP. Car was new but already built and in the showroom. I think he offered $7k off of MSRP of $154k (v10).

I doubt you can get less than MSRP on a special order but if it's been built there should be room for negotiation depending on location.

I did a really rough search for an R8 V10 around me (Southern California), and found a dealership guaranteeing $3,000 off MSRP.

Best of luck.

Hey, the good news is you can actually order one and get it reasonably fast.
I picked up my 5.2 last year after being on a waiting list for 2 years. When I ordered it, the next model after the 4.2 wasn't even commercial yet. I told the dealer I wanted to be first on the list for whatever came out next. I love the car.

Ya, apparently the r8 has one of the most solid resale values of most sports cars out there...but as others have said, just order one!

Actually, now may be a good time to get a decent deal.
There are three dealers in the valley with a total of 8 R8's in stock and another 4 about 1.5 hours away in Tucson!

Something to think about before placing an order for 2012... (unless you are going with manual)
