Audi’s Le Mans participation this year was all forms of glorious, from insane crashes to a triumphant podium finish.
But mixed in with the excitement of the actual 24 Hour race was the debut of the 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder.
Sporting 560-hp and 398 ft-lbs of torque from its 5.2L V10, the ragtop Audi goes from 0-60 mph in a mere 3.8 seconds and 197mph,
this time with its top down. In Le Mans Audi showed off an awesome matte blue finish on the Spyder.
The R8 GT Sypder is limited to just 333 units, as is the GT Coupe.

There is absolutely no need for a GT - ( track themed ) spyder makes no sense at all

The R8 GT should only be a coupe. IMHO

 

i think most of the customers won`t track them anyway.
it`s the same with the 430 Scuderia Spyder or the Gallardo Performante Spyder. Most customers will be happy with the straight line power and the better resale value compared to a coupe version.

+10 that thing is gorgeous, it looks tiny though, I've never seen one in real life but it looks TINY.
