HELP need a TT RS front rotor solution !!!!

At has less than a 1000 miles and Ive already gone through two sets of front rotors.

After two sessions at the track we replaced the rotors with a brand new set and also fitted Pagid blues. I did one more day at the track and this time the pads are great, but the rotors are toast.

So I need a solution or I'm going to sell the car. I'm also concerned there might be other parts that are not really RS quality on the car.

For reference, I have done 13,000 mms and two track days on my Aston with the original tires and brakes.

The TT RS has gone through a set o pads, two sets of rotors and shredded the stock Toyo's.

Yeah, I do like that site. They tend to do an RS6 brake swap, but that option is not available here.

It is ridiculous we have to replace the brake set up on an RS car, for light track days.
Any savings vs the cayman is quickly gobbled up getting this car ready.

How much did the AP and R8 setup cost you?

discs are about 1200 pounds sterling.

calipers can be had for 800 pounds sterling with the right contacts.

good pads are between 200-500 pounds sterling.

then factor in fluid, lines and installation costs

william, fluid and pads wont help with the discs overheating or one side always being hotter than the other

That might be so, but even with my brake setup, the discs still struggle to cope with massive stops. On track if they are quick they wont be too hard on the brakes anyway if they can carry good cornering speeds

I have a set of LOBA discs arriving tomorrow. They have a custom hat/drum and a set of grooved AP racing discs.

I had already done the high temp fluid and a set of Pagid blues. I feel like this combo actually made the situation worse with the lack of fade and the higher pad temps. The lack of cooling and weak factory rotors and you can see how it's not the long before you have heat issues on a short that has you on the brakes constantly.

Has anyone tried the TT Shop cooling blade?

So, after waiting weeks for my LOBA disc set, Pfaff have told me one of them is defective. Not very happy at all. I will get the full story tomorrow, at the moment I'm not feeling good about dealing with Loba. At least not if you live in North America. Everything just takes too long.

Hopefully there is a solution.

Well, Simon at LOBA was on it right away. They have a replacement rotor/hub assembly on its way immediately. They air freighted it. Should be here Thursday at the latest.

Can't do better than that.

The guys at the shop were very impressed with the kit.mthey said it looks like a great assembly. I'm really optimistic.. I will have a full review once I drive it some.

The good news is I can upgradevtonthe big calipers at anytime and keep this assembly.

Also, they said the AP rotors are a no wait item. The LOBA hats/hubs are a custom item. Apparently they have been popular.

What are the stock brakes? Not Brembo?

Maybe try to fit a set of stock RS4 brakes? They're 8 piston brembos. Same as the R8 in all likelihood.

Anyway, the aggressive pagid pads eating stock rotors doesn't surprise me. Hopefully a solution presents itself.

Wow, glad to see I'm not alone in this problem. Any pics of improved ducting would be great. I was thinking to put a flap extension on the NADA ducts that cool the brakes but don't think this will do it. Does anyone make a lower a arm blade that dirrects more air to the brakes?

I bought a set of blades from the TT shop, but my car already had them when I went to put them on. I'm guessing they were put on as part of the rotor package.

I have an unused set in the garage. Where are you at?
