Why? You don't like Audi releasing a good car?

+1. 0-60, while not indicative of overall performance, does show the useable power/performance available for the everyday drive.

Greg993 is infamous around these parts
0-60 is a lame measure of performance. Great for comparing minivans but for modern performance cars it is of dubious value. I am an Audi guy and they post low 0-60 times and ETs but the 1/4 mile trap speeds and in gear acceleration tell another (real) story. Real test of performance is acceleration at higher speeds where traction is taken out of the equation.

It's not lame at all. It's part 1 of a 2-part story. And it points to the advantages of AWD. There are plenty of cars that can trap high but because of the driver, or conditions, can't launch consistently or because of vehicle dynamics, launch like crap the majority of the time.

There are plenty of "encounters" that occur from a stop or slow speed roll where AWD will win every time despite the other car having much higher trap speeds.

i haven't checked the stats, but i hope the s6 is a little smaller than the m5/e63...the m5 has gotten too big imo...which is one of the reasons i went with an m3...but we also have an a4 avant that we really like. audi is building really good cars these days. this sort of competition is great for us consumers. as for the s6, at $20k less than the m5 it looks like a pretty good 'value'...period.
