Needs a APR remap. These engines are massively detuned by audi. Under full throttle the throttle body doesnt even open fully with the oem tune!!!
APR remap, titanium exhaust, carbon intakes should see 630hp.
Then if you wanna take it a step further:
Individual throttle bodies,
Bored block
Oversized piston
Titanium pistons
Titanium rods
Ti Valvetrain
Race developments race flowed cylinderhead
Balanced and blueprinted
Superfinished parts
Should see you good for 700hp+ and revving out to 9500rpm
If only I had the money

Oh... right! Hey we make an exhaust that not only lightens the car and makes good power, but it also sounds insane! Originally Posted by Daniel Coldwell

To be honest I have never really had any issue with the TTRS as a car, and I was VERY happy with it once I fixed the crappy front rotors etc. But I have had four TT's in my life and two of them have been TT RS models. Part of it was just a need for a change.
If you have a TTRS you already know how fantastic a car it is. If you are thinking about one, try to drive one, it is really very good. The car has a monster amount of torque and it's the right size.
Part of it was a need to step it up a little because my other daily is an Aston Martin V12 Vantage. As good as the performance numbers for the TTRS are, the experience is not really on par with the Vantage V12. Instead of enjoying the cars potential, I was reminded of its "short comings". To be honest, this was felt mostly while tooling around town. I found it was never a toss up between what car I would drive. Even the Range Rover Sport won over the TTRS. This could be because I have had four of them.
Congrats on the new car!Originally Posted by black penguin

I can definitely relate to the sentiment on why you replaced the TTRS. I'm on my second Subaru STI, the first one being a bit more modified than my current one with about 400 HP/TQ, suspension mods, wheels and tires, exhaust, stereo, body mods, and other things. The current one is a Limited model so it has a nice interior (for a Subaru), has about 350 HP/TQ, exhaust, intake, tune, wheels and tires, and various other mods. It's an excellent car and I really enjoy driving it, especially when I haven't driven my 911 Turbo very much recently. Then once I drive the Turbo for a week the Subaru just feels blah when I get back in it.
I'm currently waiting for the #21 Ford Raptor off the assembly line to get delivered my way. I just wanted something different so I couldn't compare the car to the 911! I'll be making a big power upgrade from the STI too once I throw the tune on it and end up around 500 HP/TQ, though it won't be anywhere near as fast or handle as well (on-road anyway!) as the STI!
