Both awesome cars...but I originally thought the M5 should be faster overtaking the RS4...strange thing!
I'm more impressed by the crazy performances of the Audi

I would expect the 10 cyl to have better performance than exhibited. I have had several stoplight excursions with a local M5 and my RS4 simple eats his lunch, no comparison. While I have not had the opportunity, I firmly believe that 0-100 the RS4 would own the M5. In a roll on the M5 should have the edge, and obviously does as exhibited by the video.

There are not too many street cars that can stay with the RS4 in 0-60 performance. While the RS4 is marketed as a sedan, one MUST remember that the RS4 is a race car for the street and the performance curves validate my assertion.

I have the RS4 and a 997 S X51. They serve different purposes, both are outstanding; the 997 is a pure sports car and if you could only have one it's the car to own.

However, if you need a 'sedan' and a little stealth, the Audi is awesome. It is light years ahead of my 2002 M5. I'd never consider the new M5 because it an auto, ugly, complicated and even more ugly (IMO)
