Beware Of Audi
I recently bought a brand new audi A6 S-line form Audi of Charlotte in Mathews, NC. To make a long story short I had problems with the car and went to Porsche to trade it. They informed me the car had major body work done to it!!! This was verified. Both Audi usa and Audi of Charlotte denied it. I had only had the car for a couple weeks when I found this out. Thinking about suing this CORRUPT company. Any suggestions. Dr. Eric R. Bang
Buy the looks of the paint job, (the entire door was taken apart so no paint lines) it was most likely the factory fixing it. so this means that there is probably cars like this all over dealers, anyway, I will never touch another audi again. I have bought three Mercedes since, so I guess they lose in the long run... Plus i will probably spend the next year trying to convince anyone I know not to buy an Audi.

with many cars i have purchase, my audi was by far one of the best. too bad your experience was completely different. good luck.
I understand that all foreign manufactures have a body shop at the ready when the ships come in to port with cars that have been slightly damaged en route. They won't tell you about it, and probably didn't tell the dealer either.
In 1989 I bought a new 300Z. Two weeks after purchase a friend pointed out (in the sunlight) that the drivers door paint was different than the rest of the car. I took the car back and the dealer was very apologetic and offered to refinish the door. I declined and demanded a replacement. Got Nissan involved and they admitted that some cars are repaired at the port. Eventually the car was replaced.
EVERY car brought into the US and for that matter every car coming into a dealer can and may have body damage that requires repair. While it is not required, full disclosure should be the case so the consumer can make an informed decision. Blaming Audi for what was likely a AOA or dealer repair is short sighted. A replacement car was an option, depending on how you handled the issue.

Ask anyone that works at a port. Dosent matter what kind of car it is, there are always some that break loose from the hold downs and will bang into the ones next to them. It happens to all car manufacturs. As said above, the dealer never knows.
that's why PPI is a must before buying a car. no matter even if u get it from the dealer, get it done from your independent shop. :-(
sorry to hear that. my sisters s4 got banged up and it's in the shop now.
