Just got my RS4
Hi, I'm new to this forum. Just pickup my '07 RS4. Drove it back to Aspen same day frm Dallas. 875 miles, 10.5 hours no Highways. Love the car.
Have a few questions for you Pro's out there:
1/Has anyone put the european steering wheel on and if yes, what was the cost and what are the repurcussions i.e loss of telephone or volume controls etc..
2/Have any of you guys experienced erratic braking reaction at full braking at 120+ miles per hour. My car does not seem to brake in a straight patttern under extreme braking i.e pulling to the left
3/How do you get writ of the 150 MHP limiter?
I have other cars amongts which a Porsche TT custom set up and 360. The RS handles extremely well. I am impressed.

yeah, people have put the Euro wheel on it.
check here for some stories, write ups, etc

you should be able to remove the limiter with some sort of software (GIAC, REVO, APR) which should be out soon if it isn't already (it will probably give you a bit more juice, also)

No software in the US yet.
With the euro wheel you will loose the media controls, and the controls on the wheel will be useless (unless you get the euro seats as well). The sport button might work, but you would have to figure out how to wire that as well.

seems complicated. and it seems a waste to loose the media controls. They come in handy when driving on mountain roads. adjust volume, enable phone etc...
on some of the threads, i read, it was advertised as a simple "plug and play", doesn't sound like that's the case.
I bought the car frm Boardwalk and the car was new.
