Just got it in the mail today, haven't had a chance to read the article yet but they compared it to a 997 C4S 0 - 62mph 4.8 sec(claimed) vs R8 4.6 sec(claimed). Can't wait till the 1st head to head road test. Should get interesting

Now that official pics of the R8 are out, my co-worker is switching from a Z06 to the R8... Ahhh another conversion!

 

Need to go out and get this issue. So confused about which color to go with. Cant with for this car, thats for sure.

Go to the audi website, they have a really cool video of the R8, and you can mix and match colors, side blades and wheels. Very cool.

I'd go for the Black with Carbon sideblades.

too bad it's an audi, after my experiences with their service on my S4 i will never own an audi again.. =( it's a shame too becuase their cars are nice and i would have liked to consider an R8, but i'm sooo happy with my C4s i ahve no complaints

 

What kinds of service problems did you have? I had an '05.5 S4 and it was great - no problems of any kind. I love Audi as a brand - both for their products and image.

 

my car was stolen twice from an audi dealership, once while in for servicem, than once again while it was being repaired from being stolen at their dealership... i had to go thru a lawyer and through one of those news programs to get thme to own up to it, than in then end i had my insurance cover it anyway... which of course became a highlight on my policy... i also hated the fact that in 2001 they started doing free service nad were very ill equipped to handkle the volume... which lead to me having to make a call 60 days in advance for any service appt.

overall not what i expected from the audi and after dealing with AoA i swore to me and them i would never buy their product again
