The S3 would have been perfect, being a 2.0 turbo DSG, but it's such a shame that it's not imported to the US. Can't get it here as well.

hahha. i can't believe u didn't keep the fx for a month. lol

i test drove a gti with 2.0 dsg and i can tell you that the dsg is a dream to drive compared to the smg(s) of bmw.

get bbs lm on them.
the 2.0t is very nice engine indeed.

The REs are on my shortlist since the RS-GT is not available on the A3. How wide can I go, Arling? Some 245/40/18 all around would be sexy.

can't. wheel is only 8'' wide. u can go 235 but i don't suggested. 225/40-18 it is.

Wow, the E39 M5 uses an 8" wide front wheel wrapped in a 245/40/18 from the factory. Sure you can't run atleast 235mm?
