Audi R8 Spotted on the streets in southern Spain

Was spending my New Year's in Marbella, Spain - and as usual, it was full of interesting cars, including an R8 from Germany.

Sorry for the poor quality pics, a friend of mine who was with me had a better camera with pictures I can post later if requested. The center "customizable" panel was pure, unpainted CF with clearcoat and looked incredible.

More pics... notice the Red Label in the background of pic #1...

As for my trip, well, there isn't much to say, beautiful weather, great scenery, great dining, and great times as usual

Thanks for the pics!
I really like the entire front end of the car, especially the top of the front fenders to the front of the hood.

I'm really starting to think this will be my next car, but will probably wait until '08.

Marcus - What color were the side blades on this R8? Body color or carbon sigma?

I actually had the opportunity to drive one a bit yesterday. Our company takes in many of the vehicles for the Detroit Auto Show and I was helping a fellow driver and he asked me to drive the R8 a couple blocks into the show hall. Granted, there isnt a lot to learn in 2-3 blocks, but the Egear was very smooth with the engagement, especially in the traffic jam trying to get these cars in the hall.It seemed to have a good low end from what I could gather. Also , the interior is a bit of a acquired taste, but there is lots of room in it. I am 6'3" and 225#'s and the seat went so far back that it would be uncomfortable driving with the wheel so far away. The engine under glass is a nice touch as well. Kevin

KPG - Is the car smaller than a porsche (Exterior)? Just trying to get a perspective

Byron, it seemed similar , maybe a little smaller. Unfortunately it had one of those drivable car covers that just have the windshield and doors exposed, so it was difficult to gauge proportions. Kevin
