What exactly does the bluetooth module do?

Does it have any features beside the handsfree? On a 06 A8.

Thanks.

You can (through the car),
Accept and decline calls, the stereo stops playing music while you're in a call.

Call someone with the controls on the steering wheel or by voice recognition. Your phonebook is transferred to the car's memory (only the contacts that are on your SIM).

I've heard that some phones synch up with the BT better than others. For example, a Blackberry 7130e doesn't pull phonebooks, I beleive. Just keep that in mind.

The nokia 8800 8801 is probably the best phone for this I know the Razr is good as well, Nokia Symbian OS phones do not scyn up with the Audi OEM BT's.

I have the 8801 and every function works including, ring tones, the module recongnizes the ring tones on the phone and that's the ring it will use, pretty cool.

I have a Sony Ericsson P990, and it has the latest Symbian which has been proven useless when pairing devices - it doesn't sync with my Mac among other things.

Is there a list somewhere of compatible devices? I've tried google but can't seem to find anything.

Yup 7130e doesn't work in any current Audi Bluetooth car. Simply, it's the phone's inability rather than the car.

Can't wait til Summer of this year when I can get my hands on the iPhone. What a gizmo!
