Nico997 is infamous around these parts
I too saw the R8 in person in Geneva for the first time and to be honest, I don't like the style at all, including the interior (the additional carbon elements on the inside doors look very cheap in particular).

The R8 looks really like an engineer product. Audi has apparently applied its Vorsprung durch Technik moto to the very extreme here and the R8 is then very far from having the personality and presence a Porsche, a Ferrari or a Lambo has. No emotions escape from it and I forgot it immediately after I left the Audi area in Geneva. So, I think the style will become very rapidly old-fashioned.

Nothing but my very personal opinion

Sorry, but I can't agree with you; specially after seeing how amazing it looked in real.
The level of craftsmanship on the R8 is by far much higher than normal industry standards IMO

I was talking about the carbon panels in the silver car in Geneva which has a different interior finishing. I agree with you that quality is much better than the normal industry standard. And if I am somehow disappointed with the interior, it's because of the design I don't like

Audi does have the best interiors, but they're starting to make things look like crap. Case in point, A3, Q7, R8.

It just looks too busy.

The car looks like nothing that is on the road right now, very original, I think it has a futuristic look, it just needs the V10 and It's all set.
I love the interior, specially the steering wheel.
