Loved my Carrera 4S but hated driving my WRX wagon... the solution was a car that would fit my sports car and outdoor activity needs. AWD was a must for skiing, so the only car that fit my bill was the RS4.

I took ownership yesterday of a Phantom Black RS4 with 8300 miles. Black Interior with premium package. It was in immaculate condition, not a single ding.

Overall I'm really impressed, it is truely a wonderful motor. Once you cross 5500rpm the pull to the 8250rpm redline is just insane. It really puts a grin on your face. Definitely faster then the C4S. All the creature comforts inside are super nice too. The RSN-e navigation/stereo system is badass, I've never had nav before so the whole giant screen thing is neat. LOVE the fact I can load in SD memory cards full of mp3's too.

Overall I think I made the right choice... It's sad to no longer be in a porsche, however it's not going to be my last porsche. I've got plenty of years to come to enjoy more porsche ownership.

I gotta take some proper pics... these were from the seller:

How do you find the fit and finish of the interior in comparison to your C4S?

Hey, nice buy !

Well, I'm also driving a 996 4S and a BMW 330d touring AND will buy RS4 avant to replace both cars. Just wanted to be in a real sports car all the time. Just like you I'm doing a lot of outdoor activities where I need a bigger car than the Porsche !

I know I will be missing the Porsche so I'm hoping to buy another one next year, but than really as a second "weekend" car...

Really good actually. The Audi interiors are top notch and the build quality so far is very nice. I will miss the full leathe dash from the C4S and the alcantara headliner. I think for the price of this car Audi should have done an alcantara headliner, but in the end its no big deal.

Oalvarez: I think more exhaust sound is what the car is missing. I was dissappointed the S mode didn't make the exhaust that much more aggressive. Milltek or the new magnaflow system will be the first mod, and possibly the only major mod. I pretty much like the car as-is. I'd never change the wheels, and so far I like the smooth ride quality of the DRC suspension.

The RS doesnt have an alcantara headliner???

Wow...I though they would have taken that from the RS6...

congrats, nice change. yeah im surprised they skipped out on the alcantara headliner though it wouldn't cost too much to custom add it if you wanted...
