BRAND NEW 996TT Special Headers (like Sharky's)
Hi,
Before deciding to sell my car I ordered and paid for a set of Kevin and Stephen's modified OEM headers. The process is very labor intensive and is the reason why it is not cheap.
Kevin has done this on sharkster's car for the shootou (more details here https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ht=sharktronic)
The process includes porting, polishing, and ceramic coating the headers. This improves their efficiency and reduces heat loss. As a result, turbos spool up faster and there is a troque gain. Because these are the same length as stock headers, no remap of ECU is necessary...The OEM design is already quite good as Porsche did an excellent job. These add a few touches to make a good design even better.
I had to purchase a set of new headers to be able to keep my stock ones untouched. I gotthe headers for $500 and then the labor to do the conversion was another $1300.
I am willing to let go of these for $1500 shipped. These are brand new and are still at Imagine Auto so I have not even taken delivery.

Still available.
X50 and regular TT share the same headers...
These will also gain you a few ponies but the torque gain is where the real advantage is. Also, they better heat efiiciency of these means their exterior does not get as hot (Sharky said he can touch his after running the car hard
) and so radiate less heat upward into the engine area...

If you're going to do headers, then THESE are the ones I would do Ken. I don't know how often Kevin will be doing these but in my case, a little more torque and a LOT less heat. Instead of literally giving yourself a 2nd degree burn by touching the headers after running the car hard, I can now physically touch them with my hands
Oooh and in combination with my Turbos, I reduced lag too...
