Galves has it for $33,400 which is what you can expect to pay at dealer auction. I gave him about $3K over. The 99's are soft because they are the old body style of the 996 and the 3.4L engine.
Granted I do think the asking price is also high, and 996 sales are definitely soft. But in most cases you would have to be foolish or desperate to sell your vehicle for KBB or Galves price if your vehicle was in great condition.
KBB can be completely way off the market price. Just yesterday I sold a 993 for $5K over KBB private party price, and several months ago I sold a Supra Turbo for $8K over KBB private party price.

Well 993s and MKIV supras are two cars that do not trade for KBB prices.....where as 996 following is much softer.
clean 993 tt's compete with 996 tt's on pricing now ($80k)
Back in 2002, i sold my 93 MKIV Supra Turbo for low $30's, which is more than i paid for the car in 1996. Granted i did put some mods in the car, but i drove the car for 60 k miles and basically got back what i paid for it, and put into it.
That said, 99's should not be in the high 40's, no matter how clean or low mileage.

You guys are ridiculous... Have you even checked out autotrader.com for example? There's not a single 1999 996 6spd coupe w/ mileage less than 15K miles for sale in the entire USA that's going for less than $42K.
The prices range from $42K to $52K, and you're going to tell Rick P. that he should only post an asking price of mid $30K range? Pleeeease... even edmunds.com appraises this vehicle at around $45K for private party sale.
BTW Rick P., I'm just trying to help you out by bumping your ad up again vs. trying to shoot you down like these other guys.
Peace

Thank you 996garage for posting something other than a negative response, and yes you are right when you say there is nothing even close to the mileage of this vehicle anywhere in the US. I have had a lot of play on it over the last 5 days and it is still available for purchase. Please feel free to contact me by email and I will send you the pictures on it.

Edmunds is highly overpricing their T/I values. Edmunds lists my '02 996TT at $109K and $114 private party and my '02 Boxster at $32 & $34 recpectively. I would kiss Sadam Hussein's hairy butt if I could get those figures.

I would have done the same thing to get those prices! The Edmunds figures are not realistic.
I sold my 02' 996 TT w/ 8k miles in perfect shape for $90,000 three months ago. How I regret selling my turbo.
Good luck on your sale
