in contrast to most 'hot' cars this one seems like it will stay tight on supply and price for a while....it's pretty cheap for what it is, nissan and all. personally i don't like the looks and wish it had a sunroof, but from a performance/engineering standpoint it's pretty good value for money spent.

I'd like someone to show me a Nissan dealer in the US that has an available 1st slot open for a R35 GTR at MSRP or $5k over.

If you can't find one, and there's an increasing amount of people that really want and can afford the car, there's your explanation for an increasing markup.

if you're in the US, on a low demand state, possibly, just couple of weeks ago, there was a SoCal dealer that had one slot for 10k over, release is november, let me know if you want the details, mods don't like ads on the forum.

GTR at dealership
For the individuals who I have spoken with, we will be seeing 2 within 6-8 weeks, and my boss (owner) hit me with a huge number over sticker. 30k over . I really have no idea what's up with that? Are any of the big time dealers in cali, fl, tx, az, seeing huge numbers like this?

Will update with more info. Definately surprised.

Don't understand Nissan's philosophy or marketing. They wanted to make a car that would beat P turbo on performance but at a fraction of its price. Now with this kind of production numbers and artifical price hikes, that purpose seem to be defeated. I wonder if they can hike up the "status" that comes with other brands.

Quote: Like I said I really am not looking to sell the car. I want it for myself. I didnt order it to flip, otherwise I would have gotten more than one. So if you dont like it keep it to yourself. Have fun with the m6 and 997tt

Transfer the contract. Its best to do it in person at the dealership to make sure everyone is on the same page.

It's only possible with some dealers since some forbid it and will VOID your spot in line if they find out. For anyone selling or buying a spot I would check with the individual dealer first.
