are you saying this based on what you have seen? or from the info you got when you called the dealership asking about the cars you have seen? if it shows a dealer with multiple smarts, that is their way of getting you to call on a car that is already spoken for so they can close you on making a reservation and waiting.

Everyone I have seen on AutoTrader is at $20k (minimum), and I believe used too

New Smarts for sale at MSRP...
Go to Autotrader.com...search for new 2008 Smarts...set your search for any distance...as of this morning, several franchised dealers listing new Smarts at MSRP...remember...search for new smarts...not used!!! (why pay over MSRP for a used Smart...6 months from now, new Smarts will be discounted like every other volume produced new car!! )
