Only if this was for sale in three months.

Was there ever a second gear pop out problem? Was it fixed?

gareeb,

Just a couple of questions:

Im not too familiar with the 730+ hp kit. Is it just bolt-on parts, or is it done with a motor build? And where was the work done?

Any previous paint or bodywork on the car?

I cant read the build sticker - what options did the car come with?

Any details on the "minor boost leak"? And does the car still ahve that issue, or has it been remedied?

Finally, any 2nd gear popout issues?

Thanks

Hi Mark,

The boost leak was from when I 1st took the car to the drag strip.
I posted my slips and some of the Protomotive guys told me my trap speed was too low and I must have a boost leak somewhere.

Made up a little pressure tester and found the leak and tightened up a hose clamp and it has been all good.
That boost leak was back in 06.

The driver side was repainted because some jerk decided to key the car back on St. Patrick's day in 07

The option codes are
C02 Equipped with catalytic converter
X71 Aluminum Instrument Dials
X97 Aluminium/leather shift ****
X98 Aluminium/leather parking brake handle
340
Seat Heating System, Right Seat
424 Automatic heating control
586
Back-Support (Lordose) - Left Seat
139
Seat Heating System, Left Seat
I added the CD changer after purchasing the car

The Protomotive Kit contains the following.
The motor has not been opened.
I copied this from the PDF receipt from Protomotive.

1 996 INTAKE 996 intake pipes

1 140T Mass Flow 996

1 AFH55 Sensor for mass flow 996

1 INJGAS996KIT 996 60 ib inj w/adapters

1 MP00703C FPR adj 993/996t Protomotive

1 MP996FUELC 996 Fuel pump modify

1 0580254044 Fuel Pump 996

1 15500209 Profec B spec 2 EVC

1 L009001996TT Reprogram 996tt ecu

2 K24 TURBO K24 / GT2 turbocharger

2 Mod K24's for 18G comp

2 WG ACCUATOR Wastegate Accuator

2 MP996INTERCO 996 Intercoolers

6 DEN3273 DensoPK22PR8

Here are some pictures the key damage.
You'd be hard pressed to know that it was painted again.
The repair shop did an excellent job.

thank you for the response. Was this work performed by the previous owner, or did you have this work done? Also, was the install performed by protomotive, or another facility? thank you!

edit: also, under the options list, I dont see PDC listed, yet your rear bumper has the sensors. Is it possible that the bumper was replaced by the previous owner with one with PDC?

The car was sent to Protomotive in Arkansas for the mod work. Done by Todd himself. The car was 100% stock when I bought it.

The parking sensors were a factory option as well.
I just couldn't read the numbers from my picture of the options sticker and I'm too lazy to take it down from the lift to read it right now.
I have to shuffle 2 cars to take it down

Thanks again for the quick response. Does/did this car have any 2nd gear popout issues? What was the total $ invested with todd @ proto for this setup, and do you have a dyno readout of the current setup?

I don't have that dyno sheet anymore.
This car never had the gear popout problem.
As for the price, I'll just say that 30k+ total investment.

last question, i promise . What clutch setup is in the car?

I read vivid racing, but I believe they have a couple different versions, correct? Is it a vivid product, or a product from another manufacturer sold by/through vivid?

The clutch is the full fiber tough disk and Clutch masters upgraded pressure plate with the OEM flywheel.
