JV - a couple more questions, and forgive me if I've asked you before. What did the compression tests show? does it have any mechanical issues at all? is the engine running strong? Is it lowered? I can't tell if it has the big oval tips, either. I assume no accidents (other than the respray) or track time? Thanks....

Imho, thats not a completely fair assessment given the fact that you're comparing a "good" 993 turbo which fetches close to 80k, for the absolute lowest priced 996 turbo one could find, either 01 or slightly beat up. How about comparing a good 993 turbo to a good 996 turbo?

Rare C2S with factory Aero Kit II (same as 911 Turbo S)
ok, I have had this car over 2 years now, needs nothing but a new owner. It's the desirable Black on Black Leather, 6 speed manual transmission, Rear Wheel Drive. It currently has 63,500 miles, everything is up to date with new Brakes and Rotors put on in 2006 and Cold A/C. Just spent over $2k on a new clutch and while engine was out had all 12 spark plugs changed, rear main seal replaced, Power Steering belt replaced, air filter and fuel filter replaced.
Also, it has the Porsche Factory M030 Suspension upgrade installed after initial new car purchase. Lastly, comes with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity stating all of the above options and a production date of 1/13/1997.

I agree. The 993 might be the best exterior design of all 911s (with respect to looks)...especially over the 996 model. Although the 996 is a much better car to drive with respect to performance characteristics and handling. The 996's suspension geometry is more advanced than the 993, but what keeps the 993 ahead of the 996 is it's pure sex appeal and limited production.
