THE BAD:
Carfax reports an accident in 2002 to the front of the car. I was told that the car slid off the road and scraped and slightly dented the bottom of the front trunk. Spare tire, tools, etc. fit fine in the area, there are no issues. All body parts are original, including bumper, hood, fenders, etc. (see photos). Airbags did not deploy. Overall cosmetic condition is not perfect, since the car has been on the track quite a few times and spent some time uncovered under the sun in Georgia. There are also two small dents in the driver side rear quarter panel above the wheel well. There is no rust! It has been used at the track so it's not a concours winner. All body panels are original except for the driver side rear bumper piece which has been replaced with an aftermarket cutout part to accommodate the dual exhaust.
History of the car: Build date 12/02. Originally purchased in Delaware in February 1993. Moved to Georgia in October 1994, owned by Miata Motorola Cup (now known as Koni-Challenge) and SCCA multiple race winner as street car. Then moved to New York in June 2006. Used at several Driver Education events with the Porsche Club of America in 2007. No racing history.
The car comes with all original books and manuals along with maintenance history starting in 2002 (over $31,000 in receipts from maintenance and upgrades).
PRICE: $36,000.
This car needs nothing mechanically and is ready to go as is. It is a truly special car - powerful and reliable, it will not disappoint. This is the lowest-priced RS America on the market. Everything else you see on Ebay or rsamerica.net is at least $10,000 more. You're looking at a very limited production classic car that will only continue to appreciate in value. It passes emissions in New York state with all the upgrades.
The car is located in Hunter, NY, USA.
