2007 GT3 w/ CPO through 5/2013

2007 Porsche GT3, VIN WP0AC29997S792883

I purchased this pristine GT3 in June of 2008 from a fellow PCA enthusiast who was making room in his garage for a new Ferrari. The reason I’m selling is I’m buying two Porsches to better suit the needs of this 4-driver family: A Boxster S and a Carrera S. The car is currently in winter storage, but can be taken out on a nice day for a test drive / inspection. My local dealer has agreed to run the purchase through him to simplify the process and give you every assurance the car is as represented.

Absolutely no issues. Never smoked in. No accidents, paint work, dings or dents. Only hand washed with multiple layers of P21S wax.

In service 5/29/2007, CPO warranty through 5/29/2013.
Full CPO service at 7298 miles (oil / filter, brake fluid, etc.). Currently about 10k miles.
Professionally corner balanced and aligned, July 2008.
Pirelli Corsa tires in excellent condition (about 4-5/32nds, new are 6/32nds).

Factory Options:
Arctic Silver.
Carpet Mats.

Additional Options:
Clear Corner Markers.
Scotchgard Paint Protection Film with 5 year warranty from 6/14/2008.
Valentine 1 Hardwire (next to mirror).
Custom stainless steel front air intake screens to protect the radiators.

All manuals, keys (2 main and 1 wallet), and even a 2007 GT3 brochure.
Original CPO inspection report, alignment specifications, service records, etc.

$108k MSRP + $4.5k upgrades and Porsche service / CPO = $112.5k Value

Priced at $92,500 for quick sale ($20k off cost).

To answer the many questions posed...

The sale will go through a Porsche Dealership and they have offered 3.99% financing. I don't know the details, but will find out.

The CPO warranty is already on the car and I can provide / fax copies of the CPO inspection report, DME readout, etc.

The car is located in central CT, but could be shipped anywhere. The dealer is willing to fully inspect the car to report to any buyer from out of the area.

The car currently has an OEM Porsche Fire Extinguisher in it that I was planning to move to the incoming Boxster S. But if somebody wants it to remain, that's an option.

I have 2 sets of brake pads with the car. One is the OEM with 10mm front and 8mm rear remaining. The other is a set of barely-used Pagid Yellow 29s that are currently on the car. I can leave the Yellows where they are or swap out to the OEMs at your option. Either way, you'll have 2 sets of pads.

Currently on the OEM rims is a set of almost new PS2s. I was planning to keep those for the incoming C2S, but they can remain on the car and I'll keep the Corsas.

Great price, wish I could afford right now.

Doesn't the car have to be re-CPOed if the paperwork is going through a dealer?

This is very interesting... One dealer says "CPO runs with the VIN, totally transferable", while another says "CPO dissolves if traded in, but transfers if private party", and another says "Not transferable whatsoever - neither trade-in or private party". The selling dealer said the first - that it's 100% transferable. So, I called PCNA today and asked the question. Was put on hold a couple of times while a CPO expert was consulted. Answer came back "It's 100% transferable and it runs with the VIN, which is why there's no special ID card or anything else". In other words, the car is tagged by VIN as 6 / 100k warranty and that's how it will remain.

So, I asked for this in writing along with the terms / conditions that state this. 6 months after CPO purchase, I still don't have anything from PCNA and they didn't even have me listed as the owner of this car...

This whole misunderstanding in the world about how CPO works was bothering me, so while I heard from PCNA today that the warranty is fully transferable, I used google to find the following and wanted to share it with you:

PCNA clearly states that CPO is void ONLY if sold or traded to a non-authorized dealer or commercial broker. This means that sale or transfer to a private party or an authorized Porsche dealership is fine.

http://www.porsche.com/usa/pre-owned-vehicles/approved/conditions/

05 Terms and Conditions
Once the covered vehicle is traded or sold to any non-authorized dealer or commercial broker, this warranty is void.
If your car is taken to an authorized Porsche automobile dealer outside the U.S. or Canada, Porsche Cars N.A.’s warranty will not be applicable, and faulty parts will be repaired or replaced only within the terms and limitations of the warranty for Porsche Approved vehicles in effect in the country where such authorized Porsche automobile dealers are located. A vehicle which is imported by an individual into Canada must comply with all Canadian Governmental requirements.

Under the FAQ section:
http://www.porsche.com/usa/pre-owned-vehicles/approved/faq/

Can I transfer the warranty?
Should you wish to sell your Porsche, you will also benefit from the Pre-owned Porsche Warranty. The remaining warranty is transferred to the new owner. And this will undoubtedly increase the value of your vehicle.

Also, I read many articles that said effective 8/2008 Porsche upgraded CPO, such that once you do the CPO inspections / service and Certify the car, it's automatically covered for the extra 2/50k. No more added fee for the 2nd part of CPO.
http://jalopnik.com/400229/warranty-...years50k-miles
http://wot.motortrend.com/6287268/ma...ram/index.html
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=130632
http://www.canadiandriver.com/2008/0...e-warranty.htm

This suggests to me that any car that goes through CPO inspection / service, which typically runs $3-500, will automatically receive the 2/50k extension for no additional consideration. That's how the press release reads and the PCNA website suggests this as well (link above).

Options are listed above: Silver paint, carpet mats. And the photo shows there's no dash-wart timer.

10 prospects, 3 serious buyers: 1 contract / deposit, 2 in back-up position by 12/31. Expected closing 1/5.
