Title was perfectly clear, and he bought it back from the ins company, it will now be salvage.

He was going to repair it, but ended up purchasing an 800 mile black one.

Check a Mercedes Dealership with regards to replacement part prices...SLR maintenance parts prices are outrageous...I think the part prices will be shocking...but...remember it was a 450K list price vehicle when it was new!!

 

The title is clear, meaning he owns it outright and doesn't have loan on it through a bank, but it is a salvaged title because it was totaled by the insurance company. Totaled by definition is that repairs exceded 70 percent of the value currently of the vehicle.

Sucks that parts are so pricey for these cars though. I think i remember being told by an AMG mechanic that the hood alone on these is like $25k.

 

Hood is actually about 75-80k and engine/tranny is worth around 80k as well....
