No option 639, $25k
with 639, $30-35k

It will still need some catch up maintenance regardless due to age.

The price range, in this thread, goes from less than $10K to over $30K. That is a huge difference. No matter what condition the car is in, it will sell for what someone is willing to pay. I have owned many rare Porsches and listed them here and on the Rennlist. I have always been amazed at the prices thrown out for my cars for sale. It seems the people throwing out the numbers are never the people buying the specific car in question, but either someone that thinks the cars looks great or someone who owns a similar car that feels the price should be that high. In other words, for the higher prices thrown out there, are you willing to buy the guy's car for that price. If not, you are giving this guy false hope. Just me venting after just selling a my 09 997 C2S.

I had one for 18 years and loved it, first of all its 5sp, so its 1 of the every 10 produced, low miles. I remember how much mine depreciated, tops I pay 20k -22k need to see pics, more info? original owner, records, original tires, seals for tranny, battery, etc? sounds nice though. Mine stayed garaged and the door seals all rotted out, exterior rubber cracked even with weekend care of everything.

A low mile 928 5 speed (possibly GT) with original paint is a rare find, unlike looking for many 911 variants. IF the car is that nice, a well informed 928 shopper would (should) be willing to shell out some good money for it.

Just for fun try to find a comparable 928 5 speed for sale... Good luck. It can be a long search to find one that is well maintained/low miles.

My Lord, you hit the nail on the head. I have sold several myself and I always got 1000 emails/IM's with people low balling, etc with zero intention on buying unless they could rape me

So agree - everyone is taking pot shots at the market price.

Roc - PM me a price if he's serious.

I'm also looking at a couple of 5 speed GTS's.

Thanks

Beautiful car. Love the sport seats...I have had those in a few of my older 911s.

That car reminds me of my '87 except I had black interior. Let us know what the asking price ends up being. Either way, I am not changing my bet that it will be 20k+...

Sport seats are a huge plus to the 928 die hards... That car is extremely desirable.
It appears to be an S4 (last 4 of vin would be less than ...1100)

It is not a GT. The '89 GT had the forged club sport wheels and the tail pipe was a twin outlet instead of the wide oval.
However, an '89 5 spd with sport seats is nice. $19-25k would be my guess if you find an educated buyer that understands the cars or someone wanting a low mile show quality car.
