That's an S4 for sure. The '89 S4 had 2.64 rear end ratio while the "GT" had 2.73. The GT also had hotter cams that moved the power up in the rpms. The '87 and '88 both had a much mellower 2.20 rear end ratio, so the 2.64 and 2.73 are a noticeable difference.
To me as a driver, I would lean towards the S4 anyways for the mellower gearing and slightly meatier mid range power. Being an '89 GT always carries some value to most 928 collectors.

The option code sticker under the rear hatch cargo area will have the option codes listed. The one that is desirable is 220, limited slip. If it has that, then there is nothing missing for the total gearhead 928 buyer.

p.s. it'ss missing the front spoiler, which is NLA. One would have to be found used. It would have to be missing the belly pans as well. That is all probably worth $1k.

To save anyone else the time to hunt down the price, the owner of the car (owner of Porsche of Peoria) believes this is a $45K car.

G/L with the sale.

It seems the people throwing out the numbers are never the people buying the specific car in question, but either someone that thinks the cars looks great or someone who owns a similar car that feels the price should be that high. In other words, for the higher prices thrown out there, are you willing to buy the guy's car for that price. If not, you are giving this guy false hope. Just me venting after just selling a my 09 997 C2S.
yep the same buy who said 10k would say its worth 25k if it was his car and he was selling. This is what annoys me most about the threads. I deal with this ALL DAY EVERY DAY at work. What you have isnt worth **** what I have is worth a ton.
