Selling to take advantage of the housing market in my area and some other investment opportunities. I’ve also reached the point with this project where I doubt I will do much else as my priorities have changed and I have 3 other vehicles to play with, etc… I have documentation and receipts to show that I’ve personally invested over $150,000 into this car and service, upgrade, mods over last 4 years. Car was less modded when I purchased and my best estimate is that this car has had over $250K invested in car plus mods over its life! For all of you looking at this and thinking you’d prefer to start with a higher mileage stockish car for low 40’s, TRUST ME, it’ll cost you 10x as much to get here doing it on your own. If somebody wants a well put together turbo with all of the major areas tastefully and professionally upgraded, buy this car! If you want to make an even higher HP monster, you’ve got room to build on this…

Built and Maintained by AutoTalent (Sam and Zolti), EPL (Tony) and MANY other specialists for various parts (GMG, Protomotive, EVOMS, Tial, West End Alignment, Agency Power, FVD, etc…)

Zero Accidents, clear carfax, 4 owners, all enthusiasts (3 6speeders so some of you may know of car’s history). I’ve owned for 4 years, since 24K miles when she had recently had a EVOMS stage 2 kit from Imagine Auto. At 35K, spun rod bearing (unknown why) so basically started from scratch with Porsche Crate Motor (still under warranty) and re-did and upgraded entire engine/power areas with new parts and options! Built to be very streetable and safe while having ridiculous power with immediate boost and tail out fun. Since the new motor, I’ve just driven her in the canyons, to work and cruising around and doing occasional freeway pulls with friends (in Mexico of course). Not a hiccup since! Currently 40K miles on chassis, about 5-6K on motor and upgrades.

Oil change done 5 times since new motor, have Blackstone Oil Analysis showing break in and continued excellent condition of motor, tune, etc… JUST changed oil and sent in for another analysis.

No deferred maintenance ever… turnkey!

Option codes shown on under hood picture but I haven’t yet decoded them:

Interior:
Full black leather interior, Alcantara roofliner, sunroof, supple leather seats (rear, removed)

Big Carbon Package(Steering Wheel, E-brake handle, Vents, Horseshoe, batwing, door sills, door pulls, Rear Center Console!, leather Porsche shift ****-liked feel best)

Recaro Style Toplines (black, heated, vented power back, lumbar adjustable pump)

Rear Seats unbolted (can be reversed, stock seats included)

Porsche Tequipment Rollover Bar (Non X-brace but custom built, perfect match (by RSS/Stuttgart Performance), removable harness bar!)
Black Porsche Mats with Red Porsche Logo Embroidered (Pelican Parts)

“Turbo” Pedal Set

997 Shifter Upgrade (I tried many and liked this best)

Gadgets/In Car Entertainment
Porsche “911” Key (factory, lights 911 red through silver key head), 2nd, regular key included

Hard Wired for Valentine One (Can include for right price as I have two)

Custom Hard Wired Garage Door Opener (integrated with rear center console switch, programmable)

Parrot 3000 Bluetooth System (integrated with aftermarket stereo to play through driver dash speaker loud enough to hear over exhaust and mutes stereo)

Optima Blue Lightweight battery (Deep Cycle)

Optima Custom Mount (GMG Motorsports)

Dennis Barish Designs Custom Sound System (over $10K with receipts!) Designed to be of highest fidelity quality, Dennis’ team has done over 200 996 series Porsches along with many other high end systems for like vehicles. This was built to be extremely accurate, smooth and have no faults anywhere. It is totally REVERSIBLE but appears stock with exception of head unit and sub box. No motorized BS, neon, etc…just HI FIDELITY!. I can play any type of music flawlessly, as loud as I can handle. The install was over 5 days worth of labor including tuning. Full system time aligned and optimized for driver seat position. Sound is unreal and tastefully balanced like the Porsche it resides in. You truly have to hear to appreciate. Weight is slightly more than stock and sub box can be removed if needed and you want ultimate weight reduction. No splatting, buzzing, distortion and car is tight and no rattles! I also wanted all of the creature comforts/gadgets of the most modern machines which was accomplished! This was some of the best money spent on this vehicle… Puts other systems (REUS) to shame, trust me… I listened to them all and was sold on spending the extra money to know what was going into my car and having unmatched sound quality and flexibility!

Kenwood Excelon 8017 7” TouchScreen with DVD playback capability (with surround sound), Garmin KNA-G10 NAV (bypassed for input while driving and updateable maps!), GXM-30 XM Radio, NavTraffic, KCA-IP200 IPod controls. 8017 was selected due to internals having better sound quality than some of the newer systems… Still has all of the bells and whistles but sounds impeccable!

Rearview/Backup Camera (high quality with night vision, set to trip in reverse and selectable while driving for track or fun use. J

Zapco Amps (DC 650, 6 channel, DC 5W.1 Mono Block for subs)-some of the best you can buy ($2 grand here alone, installed in lieu of spare tire well with custom covers and cooling built in).

Porsche OEM Leather (shaved) trim ring/dash insert for head unit

Focal 6.5” Mid Bass door drivers (custom aluminum machined and tuned enclosures)

Dennis Barish Designs custom 4.5” 2 way component dash and rear speakers

Dennis Barish Designs custom, hand wound, passive crossovers for dash and rear speakers

3, 8” Infinity Reference Subwoofers in custom, bolted in and sealed enclosure on rear deck-wrapped in OEM, shaved Porsche leather for perfect match!

Cascade Sound Damping Inserts, Noise Filters, Zapco DIN cables, Mogami RCA cables, high power circuit breaker, power wires, speaker wires, connectors, hardware, etc… All high end, no corners cut anywhere!

Exterior
MA Shaw GT2 front bumper with custom black powdercoated grills (tow hook plug built custom)

Re-painted hood and fenders at same time to remove rock chips and an egging incident on fender (this was about 7K worth of work at super high end shop and I have full documentation). Replaced all three radiators as well!

Carbon Fiber lower lip spoiler (MA Shaw-great condition)

Carbon Fiber Side View Mirrors

Clear Turn Signals (front bumper)

Clear Third Brake Light (Lucent Motorsports)

Clear (appearance) turn signals (headlights)-silver coated bulb that flashes orange

Arctic Silver painted side and rear bumper skirts (stock)

Techart Style Intake Splitter Inserts ( Precision Porsche-Arctic Silver)

Misha CF Rear GT2 Add On spoiler (fixed wing now)

Hydraulics removed and fixed in down position (GT2 correct height, saved weight!)

Aerokit Harness (removes warning lights and codes once hydraulics modified)

Rear Wiper Removed and Plugged (Bumper Plugs)

Driver Keyhole Silver Plug (Bumperplugs)

Flat/Silk Black Treated Stock Exhaust Tips (good for turbo temps after melting a few other finishes, LOL)

Black Chrome Turbo Logo Treatment

Silver Crest/Porsche Logo on front hood

Bumperette’s painted Arctic Silver

Medium Tint all the way around

WOLF Car Cover (used 3-4 times total, will include with fair price)

Engine/Power
2004/2005 Porsche X50/Turbo S Crate Motor Installed (spun rod bearing on my original motor). Newer motor has stronger, later block with upgraded, later model oil pump.

Crate motor was complete bolt in with all new pipes, hoses, EVERYTHING). I have receipt for motor purchased from SunCoast Porsche. I got LUCKY and picked it up for about 18K with warranty!

Took the opportunity to replace about $1,000 (I have invoices/documentation) in all hoses, filters, motor mounts, expansion tank, everything that we could while the motor was out. Also inspected everything around to make sure nothing needed to be addressed. I told AutoTalent to spare no expense in making sure everything was fresh and clean as I intended to keep this car indefinitely and it was cheaper and less headache to “do it right” the first time. I learned that lesson a long time ago and never deviate from it!

EVOMS Red Boost Hoses

EVOMS Clubsport Intercoolers (3.5”)

EVOMS 70mm intake hoses (back of the motor, hard pipes, safest made)

EVOMS Diverter Valves

Tune: EPL Customized by Tony with over 5 iterations (super SAFE for 91 octane, easily 40hp more in tune if wanted). After new motor, I built this car to be fun and SAFE, and didn’t push anything. I wanted “bulletproof” and peace of mind which is what I have created. No hiccups, issues or otherwise like many highly modded cars… This thing is like stock in its civility around town (until you hit the accelerator). J

Tial Alpha 28’s Turbos with Tial Water Line kit (modified for side mounting for better clearance)

75mm Throttle Body

75mm IPD/RSS Plenum

EVOMS modified/widened Y-Pipe

72lb injectors

5 bar Fuel Pressure Regulator

Stock Headers (tried 3 sets, found no noticeable difference)

FVD Sport Exhaust, 100 Cell German CATs (more power if full 3” but mine has no drone and not horribly loud unless full boost spool and then sounds like a fighter plane. Great balance and I love this over a few extra ponies because of its civility).

Stock Airbox with fresh filter, stock MAF, fresh plugs (Sold EVOMS box and Hitachi MAF per EPL recommendation-good move, runs wonderful with EPL tune, no blown MAFS, no issues period, looks stock).

Estimated ~650 Crank right now (91 octane tune) with high torque and immediate response due to Alpha 28’s. Do your homework on these turbos…they are amazing. Outflow GT30’s on top end and outspool K16’s! I’ve run this car against many 750-800hp cars and it hangs right in there with the big boys due to power delivery and torque/area under the curve plus spool/NO LAG and the EPL bag of tricks... I’ve never bothered to dyno as it was exactly what I wanted but I can if anybody is at all concerned with the power delivery. There is a good amount of “room” left to upgrade and go bigger power if you desire. Water/Meth, 3” exhaust, no cats and tune and you should be at 750 pretty easily. Speak with Tony at EPL for more details… You can go even bigger if you prefer but I’d drive her first and feel this package!

Suspension/Wheels/Brakes/Drivetrain
Rear Wheel Drive Conversion-Removed axles, front differential, etc… (completely reversible, have all stock parts)

Porsche Motorsports (Sachs) Clutch 764 (?) newer pressure plate (Good for over 800/800 per Protomotive) Gently broken in for 1,000 miles, totally happy! Original Hydraulic Assist (drives like stock!!!) 5-6K total use. No track/drags/clutch drops, just canyons and freeway pulls and mostly driving to the office. J 964RS Lightweight Flywheel (awesome mod).

Transmission great-no 2nd gear pop out, fluids flushed regularly, using Redline currently.

997TT Big Brake Kit (Complete)
14” front and rear rotors (997TT), 6/4 piston Brembo calipers,
Motul RBF600 Fluid
Stock 997TT Pads (quiet!)
Agency Power SS Lines
997 GT3 Brake Duct Upgrade (Cooling)

OZ UltraLeggera HLT 19x11 and 19x8.5” Rims (Black Factory Finish, 21.6 and 25.2 lbs-lighter than stock 18s!) These have less than 5K on them and look BRAND NEW-see photos, no known blemishes.
Black with Silver Crest Center Caps (Wheel Enhancement)
Black Lug Cap Covers

Toyo T1-Rs (235/35F, 315/25R) Rears camber worn, frt, over half life-can replace rears

Bilstein PSS9 Coilover Kit

Eibach Adjustable Sway Bars

4 Wheel Corner Balancing/Alignment (Darrin @ West End alignment-set up for aggressive street so higher, less negative camber right now. Can be setup for track as I once had it-was AMAZING but now clears everything better and handles 95% as well).

Flaws/Needs/Annoyance to me
Right Rear fender/flare -almost imperceptible ding from shopping cart that I had paintless dent removal on-tried to shoot picture but can’t get it to show up but I know it’s there with perfect angle. I challenge you to find it but I believe in full disclosure L

Rear Tires may need to be replaced soon due to camber wear. I can do this for you for right sale price.

Few minor rock chips on front bumper paint from normal driving (I chose not to use clear bra as I hate how they look so I typically plan on painting bumper every few years. Not needed but say at 97-98% now.

Two sides of Carbon Horseshoe surround are starting to yellow. No other CF is having this issue. Never got around to replacing but could if it bothered you. See pics, not really noticeable live but pics catch well.

Brake pads may (?) need replacement at some point, waiting on %’s from shop but expect at least 50%.

Tune doesn’t like super cold startup when air pump comes in while warming-no issue, settles down in 20 seconds or so but I like to let her warm for a bit before driving at all. Runs overall better than my old GIAC and then EVOMSit tunes at low RPM, especially GIAC.

Finances/Terms
I have priced to sell as I am ready to move. Feel free to make realistic offers via email, phone or private messages. I welcome respectful feedback on my price but would appreciate negative opinions/feedback be shared in private.

Buyer has preference on maintaining all parts. However, I *may* consider removing some of the larger, easier items for local buyers (seats, wheels, tires, possibly sound system if full swap). I *may* be interested in some interesting trades but would need to be mostly cash or no reason to sell.

Title In Hand!

Thanks for feedback folks. Trade would have to be mostly cash (say around $40K) so I don't think that the 993TT would work right now (although I'd love to own one)...

If it sells, look me up!

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the motor was expensive but it was like I was able to "start over" with a fresh car so it was worth the peace of mind. I hope that people realize the money invested and associated peace of mind and value attached... This is NOT some high mileage, thrashed on 2001 car...

I look forward to sharing it with another enthusiast, hopefully a 6speeder! Local is even better so that I can buy it back someday when I realize what a mistake I am making!

Plug for Sam and the Autotalent crew! They have taken great care of me and my car(s) over the years. I don't trust this car with anybody else!

PMs and phone calls returned. Thanks for the positive feedback, folks! This is painful and I know I'm going to regret it but it is time to move on. I always laugh when people say this but I *TRULY* hope that she goes to a good home and will be appreciated. I've had quite a few cars in my day (and modded all of them) but this has absolutely, hands down been the best car I've ever owned... Amazing amount of car for this money!!!

Not sure which one you are referring to but I have done some freeway pulls against modded GTR's. The cars typically pulled pretty equally (depending on speed/gearing/jump) but every time you shift the manual tranny, you lose a bit to the modded GTR's (or M3's)... I've completely walked stockers and been slightly edged by modded ones (depending on extent). That tranny (along with the M3 DSG) is a great performance advantage if that type of thing is what you are trying to achieve.

If you wanted to have the ultimate "freeway pull" car, I'd recommend water/meth or race gas tune and a 3" exhaust. This car is capable of another 50-75hp EASILY if you want to push the tune and probably more than that according to EPL. That should help balance out the slower manual shifting (plus, I don't ever powershift this car, not worth it!). How fast depends on how much (more) you want to spend and what type of driveability/powerband sacrifices you want to make! I built this car with responsiveness in mind as I prefer the twisties to the freeway...

I personally will still own a manual as long as they make them as I absolutely love the engaged driving experience that they offer, even if it makes them a bit "slower" than the newer trannies...

I will secretly admit that I've thought about a GTR as a next ride. I have a lot of respect for them and they are an amazing bang for the buck! Hmmm, we shall see what is next down the road...

Congrats and condolences as well on the sale! I know you will miss the car but hopefully the car will stay on the west coast within your network of friends. Good luck on the real estate opportunity. It was a pleasure to discuss the car and meet you over the phone.
