GD that was easy. I drove it to my dealer who walked around it and offered 85k. Done deal, and I get the tax advantage for the next one.

 

what is a tax advanatage????

 

In Utah and in some other states you have up to a 12 month window to apply a trade-in value to the purchase of another car. So in this case, I have up to $5610 ($85,000 x 6.6% Utah sales tax) I can use towards the sales tax of another car I buy from that dealership in the next 12 months.

 

Out of curiosity, how many months did you have the car and what did you pay to drive it off new?
