Hello all,

Selling my ’02 996 Turbo for a good price. I’m active duty military and deployments, duty station changes and now my desire to expand my family forces me to sell my ride. I’ve owned it for just over 3 years and have only driven it 5700 miles, with only 50 Miles driven in all of 2011 and 200 miles so far this year. I’m stationed in a small town in NC and I haven’t driven over 65 mph since I left CA in 2010. I don’t think I’ve seen 4th gear since I moved here in 2010 either, which is sad. Worse, I got a ticket for 51 in a 45.
So with that, I’ve provided some pertainent information below for reference. I would like to ask that serious buyers only apply please. I work 70+ hours a week, plus family so I just can’t entertain joy rides and lookyloos. Those that are truly interested know what the car is worth and know what to look for, so please don’t haggle me about the price. It’s bad enough that I have to sell; being haggled about every little imperfection just makes it worse. I can send videos and pictures as requested. Car is financed through USAA and was re-fied earlier this year in lue of selling. I've attached some pictures to show current condition. I'll post more as requested and weather allows here in NC. Vehicle has not been detailed or polished, so you'll get to see it in its natural habitat.
I didn't want to mess with stealbay or the list, and really want the car to go to someone in the community that knows and appreciates it. Most of the local guys around here would just thrash it and I don't think I could bare to see it being ran down.

Known Issues with car:
Exterior
-Rear spoiler code light comes up when spoiler deploys. small fluid leak (a drop) found on left spoiler spindle arm, spoiler works as designed. Not sure why light comes on.
-Rear bumperette paint is chipping off. Bumperettes painted by prior owner, paint is now coming off. 2-4mm chips.
-Scratches/chips - nothing larger than 2-3mm, 1mm scratches on passenger door handle, 1mm chip on driver front panel, 1mm chip on pass door handle
-Dents – one 1mm dent on drivers side, can only see if looking down profile, can see in pictures.
-Drivers mirror has peeling clear coat

Interior
-door jam scratches from shoes
-Shift **** scratches from use
-drivers side speaker cover has bend in the “Bose”
-Steering wheel center emblem has scratch, can’t see in pictures, too small to photo.
-Key Fob not working…deployed for a year and when I came back, the fob didn’t work. May be battery or I just don’t know how to link again.
-Navigation CD is for CA and NV only

Does this car have any warranty remaining, and it is transferable?

 

No. The warranty expired in June. It was an aftermarket warranty through total shield that I never used. The Porsche CPO expired in 2009. I decided not to extend the aftermarket warranty once I decided to sell.

wow, this is the best advertised price I have seen in a while for a 6speed in desirable color combo, glws! All the "known issues" are easily fixable too.

That's an amazing price. Just do a wrap on it and you've fixed like 95% of the "defects". You're getting a new tranny, new clutch, coilovers? Great deal.
