FS: 04 996TT Coupe....
Hey guys,
Looking to get out of this car and into something new......
Details:
2004 996 Twin Turbo Coupe
Black on Black
6 speed
Heated Seats
Colored Wheel Caps
Supple Leather interior
Storage Compartment lid w/ Turbo logo
Black mats w/ Porsche logo
X51 exhaust pipes
Aluminum Instrument dials
Aluminum/Leather shifter and handbrake
MSRP $127K
Condition:
Current Mileage - 3K miles
Immaculate in and out
Garaged 24 - 7
Car is leased through PFS. Current payoff for dealers is $102K. Private party would have to add NY sales tax to that before PFS will release title. Willing to show car to any interested parties. Car is in original like new condition. Would contemplate lease assumption, however, my liability is a factor which would make it a bit more involved. Feel free to contact me with any questions....
Thanks.

Update...
If there is anyone interested in buying the car outright, I might have a dealer (friend) who would help with the purchase. He will make the payoff ($102K) sans tax and then resell to the buyer for $102K. You would then only pay the sales tax in your state upon registration of the vehicle. The details would have to be worked out, but this is an option.
Darren,
I've replied. Thanks.

If you re-lease the car through another lender, are you still on the line for the sales tax?
When you talked about the assumption did they tell you in no uncertain terms they would not release you 100% from the obligation?

LSM,
You are correct, these pictures were not taken recently. The car is in the exact same condition as the pics, however, I plan on taking some new high res pics this weekend.....
05997S,
As far as "re-lease the car through another lender" I'm not sure how you'd pull that off. I know for certain that if someone assumes my lease I remain a "guarantor" and therefore may be held liable. Unfortunately that is how PFS works.

Additional info.....
I've been investigating what 05997S mentioned and it looks like he was on to something. Turns out the car can be re-leased to whomever wants the car with terms customizeable to your liking. I've done a bit of research on a company called LeaseCompare and they specialize in these kinds of leases. Basically, they buy the car from PFS (which removes my liability in full) and then they lease it to the new buyer. The terms are very favorable and being the big depreciation hit already took place (taken by me), the numbers work out quite nicely. I ran some quick numbers and a 36 month /12K mile on this car would work out to aprox. 1390 a month with zero down. Just sign and drive away! That's a lot less than what I am currently paying. They also have 24 month terms etc etc.....
Just found this company, but their track record is very impressive. Just something to think about!
Btw, hope to have some more pictures by this weekend. Hope the weather is acceptable.

Re: Additional info.....
i spoke to leasecompare before i bought my car. you are exactly correct. leasecompare will buy the car from PFS outright. they don't have to pay any tax since they are licensed as dealer/wholesaler. and you are completely done with the car at that point. they will then leased the car to you based on the price they paid for the car. you get to choose the terms, drive offs just like leasing a new car. obviously your credit also dictates the terms and rate. i was told that the car can be in your house within one week. you don't have to pay any tax either since it's a lease. rather you will just pay monthly tax based on your payment (at least in california).

Just listed the car on Front Row Cars which works with LeaseCompare. Listing has a quick calculator on the side which can be used to calculate your term and payments......

i'd be careful w/ leasecompare (and leasetrader), i know a few ppl who got burned by them. these companies just took the listing fees, gave the seller & buyer's contact info and said "goodluck". buyers beware! my 2 cents
ProV1,
If you read their policies you will see that you've been either misinformed or things have changed.
LeaseCompare Policy
"Upon credit approval we’ll contact you to confirm your vehicle selection as well as your desired colors.
At this time, we will also collect a small retainer to begin locating your vehicle. This retainer shows that you are serious about leasing this vehicle. This is NOT an additional fee. This deposit will be applied toward your first months payment. In the rare instance that we are unable to locate your vehicle, this retainer will be fully refunded."
I've contacted a few people that have used this service and they all had positive things to say about the whole process.......
