I'm not interested in an 05 TTS. I have already had an 03 996TTX50 6 speed and an 07 997TT auto. Only want an unmodded GT2.

I have seen several 02-03 GT's for sale (like at least 6+ in the last 2 weeks). Most that I have seen are a problem for me because they are 1. modded in some way (ie. ecu, exhaust, etc,) 2. tracked(raced) or 3. beaten on (ie. not maintained the way I would want with cracked leather, marked hubs, etc.). I want an unmodded unmolested all original GT2 that hasn't been tracked (DE's are ok). A GT2 with miles is OK but obviously a GT2 with 10K miles is better than one with 50k miles (all else being equal).

I agree that 05 is a tough year to find and 04 is a bit easier. Given a choice I'd rather wait for an 05 (or even an 04) than to settle. Truth is that I just need one. I thought they made 5 05's and 29 04's for the US ? Anyway, whatever the numbers, there are always people that are looking to sell for whatever reason. I'd rather spend a little more money and time for what I really want than to settle. Everyone on 6speed has been very helpful in my search. I truly appreciate all of the leads particularly several PM's with leads on cars. Please keep them coming as I think this search will take longer than expected.

I want a 996 GT2 and don't want to spend $149K or anything close to that. Also don't mind if the car has 20K miles on it. Again all else being equal (ie. assuming car is well maintained etc.) less miles always better. I saw a couple of 08 GT2's for sale as low as $119K not that I'm in the market for one. I have no problem spending half of what that GT2 sold for and there are several 02-03 GT2's in that price range (give or take a couple of bucks). Just looking for an 04 or 05 and realize that it won't be easy for to find same, particularly an 05. I also get that the 05 might be out of my price range even if I'm willing to pay a premium for the 05. That being said, I'm a strong believer that cash speaks loudly.

First I have an 03 with 6400 miles on her and after waiting for two years for the allocation to be issued and picking her up in Dec of 02, it's time for me to enjoy her. Your comment - cash speaks volumes - if those few GT2 owners are in real need of that $. Good luck with your search.
