I had it done by vipertestarossa and it took him a couple hours, and he had done it before. The hardest part was getting the factory dials off. They were really on there and were destroyed while being removed.

BOXER4 is infamous around these parts
it's not that hard....I've done it a few times....the most important thing is to get, or make, a tool to remove the needles....you shouldn't just pull them off with your fingers otherwise they WILL break. Most reputable gauge face sellers supply the tool but the place in Europe I had purchased gauge faces from for my old 993 c2 and 996C2 didn't provide me with one......
Just grab flat piece of metal cut a slit on it's end to slide underneath the needle and go around the actual needle itself, then bend the piece of metal 90 degrees at it's base about 1/4" from the slit you made.....hope you get this so far,......then as you slide this tool underneath the needle you can pry straight up using its leverage......I used some black tape at it's pivot point of the tool to not scratch the original guages in case you need to reuse them.......
Just don't forget to mark the needles resting point otherwise your needles will be all squirely.....
let me know if you need some more help....
