Up for sale is my 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S with 6-speed manual transmission in Arctic Silver and black leather interior. Don't let the mileage scare you, this car has been very well taken care of, and major maintenance items were recently completed (clutch, water pump, coolant overflow tank, spark plugs, coils, and more). The reason for the sale is that I started a new job in SF, and bought a commuter car. I don't get to drive this car as much anymore, and don't want it to just sit in the garage.
I've owned this car for a over 2 years, and am the 3rd owner. The previous owner bought the car CPO'd from a Porsche dealer in Pasadena, and the original owner was a docter who lived in the area. The car has always been a CA ca and never belonged to someone who lived near the coast (no rust issues). Currently, the car has 82,000 miles.
The car has always been garaged and during my ownership, all maintenance and repairs have been done by Carrera Motors in San Mateo. Receipts/records will be provide with sale of the car. Pre-Purchase Inspection performed by Carrera Motors in September came out clean - only noting that the front pads would need replacing in the next 5-10k miles.
The car is in fantastic shape, and needs nothing (aside from the break pads coming up). All common wear items for this model with this mileage have been taken care of:
-I had all spark plugs and coil packs replaced as preventative maintenance 2000 miles ago
-The coolant overflow tank has been recently replaced (common wear item for the 997)
-I replaced the clutch when I initially bought the car as I noticed some slipping. It now has 20k miles on it and feels great.
-The water pump was replaced under CPO warranty in 2013
-The shifting cable was replaced in 2014. The shifts now feels really precise and tight.
-air conditioner system was recharged last summer
-air filter and cabin filter replaced last month
Factory options:
-S Trim - bigger 3.8L engine, bigger brakes, etc
-PASM (porsche active suspension management), standard on S models
-Navigation system
-Premium Bose High End Sound Package
-Full black leather - more interior pieces are covered in leather + stitching
-Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package
-Heated and powered seats
-Sport steering wheel
-Illuminated Carrera S door sills
-parking assist system
-Factory short shift kit
-Euro spec clear side markers
-clear bra installed at the Porsche dealer when car was new. Covers bumper, half of the hood, and mirrors.
Wheels:
I currently have BBS CH-R wheels installed. I also have the original 19" Carrera S wheels. Buyer will have the option to purchase the car with or without the BBS wheels.
Sport Exhaust:
I have also swapped out the factory mufflers with modified versions of the mufflers. They are basically a copy of the factory Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE), but without the option to turn them "off" with a button. The effect is an exhaust note that is deeper and a bit more aggressive than factory, but is not overly loud or cause any drone in the cabin. I will include the factory mufflers in the sale, and will swap them back in if preferred.
No other modifications have been done to the car.
Happy to provide carfax, and happy to have a pre-purchase inspection done to the car (to be paid by buyer).
Asking price is $36,500 with stock wheels, $38,000 including BBS wheels
