Long time listener, first time caller. I've been lurking on the forums for some time, and finally decided to ask for some help. I'm in the market for a 996 turbo, and haven't been having much luck. I'm looking for something like this:

and that may even be the one, though I'm not sold on the grey interior, nor the mileage. I don't want a heavily modified car, although upgrades are welcome. Color isn't a huge factor, but no ext grey. I'd like to stay under $45K, as this will be a toy, and a cash purchase. I'm also still kicking around the idea of a cab, but it would need to be the perfect deal.

Any help is MUCH appreciated, or a line on any cars that aren't listed yet. Location is not a factor, but I'm in Dallas.

What are you exactly looking for? Color combo? Mods or no mods? Manual or tiptronic? Mileage? Ect....


If you update your thread with some of the information I'm pretty sure you will have people hitting you up who are trying to sell their 996 turbos!

Prefer coupe, but wouldn't rule out a cabriolet. I'd prefer under 70k miles and later model with all of the "trouble spots" addressed (coolant lines, turbo maintenance, slave cylinder, clutch, hyd Rams, etc) manual

I'm fine with mods/upgrades, but nothing extreme.

 

going to be tough to find one under $45k with what you are looking for these days unless you stumble onto someone that needs to sell theirs quickly. You arent far off so it might just be where patience pays off. Good luck!

to be honest, I didn't want a graphite gray interior either, but after owning it, I love it. Doesn't get nearly as hot, and its very nice to look at. Changed my mind about lighter color interiors.

 

Mine has 127,000miles on it and toying with idea of selling it as I just bought a new project car a 1972 914 that I am thinking of putting a 718 drivetrain into. Its a 2001 Orient Red with grey interior. Previous owner was meticilous on maintenance and I have all the records. at 110,000 miles he had a stage 2 sach clutch disc,pressure plate and flywheel installed along with all new coil packs and spark plugs. I installed a Evom cold air kit, B&M short shifter,and an Xpipe exhaust. Two months ago I put all new tires on it,brake rotors and pads. No check engine lights, no leaking or seeping of fluids and did a pressure test and installed some new vacuum hoses. Runs great and everything works perfect. $27k

 

I have a customer selling a super clean GT610-equipped 996TT with 23k miles on it. It is a hell of a car, and has the following:

-GT610 kit w/ Alpha 28 turbos, EVOMS Hitachi Intake, Silicone Boost Hoses, Fabspeed exhaust w/ HFC (fuel system away from making a bunch more power, currently rated at 610hp at flywheel)
-IPD 68mm Plenum
-PSS9 Coilovers
-GT3 Brakes
-Tons of recent service (water pump, coolant lines pinned, vacuum lines gone through, fresh clutch, etc.)

Damn, That is one hell of a buy. 610hp and all the goodies plus a measly 23,000miles for $50k. WOW!!!! How do I delete my post as I now feel like a thief? lol
