Selling a Flying Miata Habu LS3 MSM. Had the car for 2 yrs during that time I logged about 6000 miles, original owner Tim ( in his early sixties) had it for about 20 mos and 11,000 miles. So total miles on the build is about 16,500 miles.
I drive it every weekend when the weather is nice but cycling between 4 cars means mileage stay low
Car was sent to Flying Miata by original owner for a complete go through before it was listed FS on their website. I bought it sight unseen and had it hauled by intercity Line.
Car basically has all the options including the tubular A arms F&R which was added later on and is not on the original 13 pages build sheet. Cost $3000ish.
I've included page 1 and 13 in Picts the 2-12 can be faxed to all interested parties.
Car was originally from TX with NOT a spec of rust on it, chassis had about 53K miles on it.
Original paint in very good shape except for the usual pitting on front end from hwy driving, car doesn't have clear bra. original soft top with no tear in good shape. Car was and is always garaged after the built.
Car will come with 2 set of coilovers, currently it sports a Fatcat GT setup with
Ripple valve option, cost $2850 + install/alignment. 375lbs F / 325lbs R about 2000 miles on it and the original AFCO double adjustable coilovers from flying Miata spring rate about 500-550ish lbs (yellow spring, blue shocks body in Picts)
The quick rundown
Crate 430 LS3, with Flying Miata shorties and dyno tunning its now at 400whp and about that much wtq.
Stainless Dual exhaust with Cats. The same setup with newly built Habu does have CA. CARB certification, this one does not. Don't know if it can be grandfathered in ? You'll have to do your own research
Rockland Standard Tranzilla TR56
Front and back Wilwood brake 4 pistons all around, rear was added later by Flying Miata at my request and is not on the build sheet
225-45-16 Dunlop Star spec 2 on 16X8" Rpf1 widest setup you can fit without doing work on fenders. 2000 miles on setup, $1600 from tire rack
All components in the built are new, chassis was seam welded, any and all bracing available were added.
Has AC, power steering, antilock brake. All functions in original car are retained
Weight distribution stock car about 51/49, NOW it's 51.6/48.4 a 1.2% shift
Total weight increase is 165 lbs, car now weight in at 2667 lbs
The reason for the sale is that I'm at a point if I were to keep the car I'd like to do a H&C, bigger exhaust, etc... That means at least another $12K into it and ruining the fact that it is an original Flying Miata car.
Car is lowered and the FM exhaust hang a bit low too so on tall speed bump it rub<br/>I had stainless plate welded to the lowest spots to protect from the occasional scrape.
Wow that's really cool and a LOT of money spent for 400 WHP. Regardless, probably a total blast to drive and you get a free car with your LS3 for the asking price!
