For sale is a 2001 996 Turbo with 61,000 miles (still being driven when the weather is nice). I have spent over $50,000 during the last two years making this car incredible to drive and bulletproof. I’m looking to try a new GT3 so my loss is your gain. I have a clean title in hand.
I shed some weight on the car which makes a massive difference. The last time the car was weighed I believe it was around 3,150 lbs. Currently the rear interior and stereo have been pulled but both are sitting and ready to be put back in if the next owner wants to.
I have almost every part to return this car back to stock. If there is no interest at this price I will part it out and sell it as close to stock as I can get it.
It has been to 6 DE events and proven to be faster than 991 GT3 RS’s, Mclarens, Ferraris etc. It is absolutely thrilling and engaging to drive. After every event the car was meticulously inspected and any potential issues were addressed by independent Porsche mechanics. Fluids were changed several times a year.
If you want to add serious power, it will be a rock solid platform and need nothing except for larger turbos. With the upgraded radiators and intercoolers the car always ran cool. I only had a tune on the car to add power so it was never making huge power.
The car doesn’t come without issues. Last year I hit a tire barrier in the slowest corner at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. The damage was to the front left and left side of the car and not structural and the frame was untouched. It was minor enough that the air bags didn’t deploy and I drove it back to my trailer for the ride back home. All of the body work was completed by Voss collision in Dayton and all of the mechanical work was completed by P3 Autokrafte. They are Porsche specialists and have been the only shop to work on the car. The frame was untouched and the car drives better than new.
The front bumper and drivers side headlight were replaced with new parts. The headlight was over $3,000.. The new bumper has not been drilled for a license plate and is clean across the front. During this time I decided to repaint the entire front of the car to take care of the normal chips and wear. The Drivers side door and drivers side rear quarter panel were also painted. The paint looks amazing. The only other issue is the two drivers side forgeline wheel had some damage from the contact. These wheels were taken to Forgeline for inspection. They went over the wheels in detail, ensured that they were perfectly fine and completely refinished each wheel. They smoothed out the area that was damaged and they look fantastic now.
After this body work was done the car had a complete paint correction. Plastic parts and the wheels were ceramic coated. The paint was also protected with multiple products.
The leather on the dash has been tight and starting to pull back since I bought the car. This is a common issue when the sun beats down on the leather but I have used a leather conditioner religiously when detailing the car and it has since released a bit and looks much better.
Currently the air bag sensor is on because I am running the Bride seats. The factory sensor comes with the factory sport seats which are also included and could be easily reinstalled.

Still plenty on life left in the tires? What size are on the back?
The Nittos are 315/30/18 in the rear and 245/40/18 in the front. The Techarts are 19" wheels and have more tread than the Nittos but are in storage at the moment. I'll get the exact measurements later.
I have attached photos of the tread on the rear and front tires as well as a shot of where the trickle charger connects under the front bumper and the lithium ion trickle charger. It was difficult to get my phone to focus. I've also included a shot of the steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and current odometer reading.
