2007 with 18.5k miles. Will be asking $90k and judging by what's out there I think my price is very fair considering the build and condition.
My car has clearbra over the front 1/3 and in a word, the car is stunning. No accidents and no paintwork. The interior still smells new and everything works as it should. The sticker is just north of $141k and most of the money was spent on the interior. I can say (and anyone who has seen the car has agreed) that the interior of my car shames virtually any other Turbo on the market. I have been in a few and they all seem a step below. The natural grey interior covers every surface with leather and carbon fiber and what that option doesn't cover was added separately. Needless to say, the entire interior is leather and carbon fiber. The grey is not light so please don't say "I hate the light grey interior!" It is a dark charcoal and this option was the only way to get it. I was thinking of asking more, holding on for longer, etc. but I have held on long enough. I never drive it and I need to lighten up my car situation after losing my storage facility. I have already sold 1 car (bad bad experience) and now this. More to come in the coming months after this is gone.

Very Nice example. I have just picked up one with Natural Gray interior after searching for the "right"car for years.
I came across many sellers asking for a premium for a car that still needed servicing / attention which should not be the case.
You might want to let prospective buyers know:
-How old the tires are & tread depth
-How many previous owners
-Servicing history and what major services have been completed. (20K / 40K (due to time))
-Any other mods besides the exhaust
And also, you know folks are going to ask for a DME report which you might want to have handy.
From my shopping experience, at least one or more of the above has consistently failed on cars with premium asking price but I finally found the one.
You have a stunning car regardless.

I don't know about most P car buyers buy when I bought my car - at the time it had only 11k miles on it I went into in knowing that I wanted to put fresh new tires on it. Best investment you can make for your safety. The tired - hardly worn 4 year old tires that were on the car - Pirelli - had very little traction and even stock would bust loose the tires in second gear and even in third if I was not going 100% straight. I put on a new set of Pilot Super Sport tires and transformed the car. Given how little I use the car I will be changing these tires out for the new version long before they are worn out.
As far as previous owners - when these cars came out they were really hot a lot of them flipped hands a few times quickly - mine changed hands 3 times in the first 9 months and 750 miles - no doubt very rich people wanting the latest play toy and then trading it in for the next best thing after a few months. Other cars may have sat with the original owner since new I do not think it makes much of a difference - condition is everything. Mine like this one is super clean and has never been caught in the rain. The underneath still looks like a new car.
When shopping for a used 997 turbo I would put condition first over everything and also would not buy any car without getting a careful PDI by a Porsche master tech so I know exactly what the car needs going into the deal

When I get closer to decision time I will provide the necessary information as I am still on the fence. I am not a DME weenie and if someone decides not to buy it for that reason that is just fine with me. That, IMHO, is the lousiest indication of a car's history out there. This is my 4th modern Turbo Porsche (1 996 TT and 2 996 GT2's) and every one had over-revs. One of my GT2's and my Turbo were track cars and you know what? I never had a CEL or any problem ever with any of my cars.
Regardless, I always ask the same simple question: how on earth do you buy any used manual transmissioned car if the car doesn't log over-revs? I mean come one man. If the engine is toast you bring it in for a PPI and it will be clear as day. You cannot hide a bad motor.
I have owned several 930's, a 944 Turbo S and currently have a 968. No such thing as over-rev report on those.

With the low rev limit on the turbo and a 6 speed I find myself frequently reaching the rev limiter - hence rev limiter
Unless you are shifting from 3rd to 2nd rev counts are not as big a deal as some of these guys make them out to be
Some of these guys are looking for a car with no miles, brand new tires, coils and plugs changed, original owner and they want it driven in such a way that the original owner never revved past 6500 rpms
All I was looking for when I bought my car was low miles and original paint and good condition (it was hard enough to find a car like that in the color I wanted) - nearly two years later all I have had to do with this car is change the oil and brake fluid every year and the coolant once - now I am changing the coils and plugs while I am swapping turbos
So practically speaking all my car needed was tires and a battery and its been bullet proof - same as my last C2 997
On the other hand my AMG E63 S under full warranty has been to the dealer frequently and has had many things go wrong. At least they give me a new E class loaner car when it needs service and it does not cost me a dime to fix all the things I have broken. I do admit I drive the AMG like I stole it but why not? It is under warranty and I don't plan to keep it for 12 years like my 997.1 turbo. Different kind of car
In my opinion if these cars stay with low miles and in good condition they are going to stand the test of time like many classic Porsche and continue to appreciate. With all the electric and self driving stuff headed down the pike in the future a nice 6 speed sports car is something that will always have value - we can see for example in the Ferrari market how the 550M and the few 575 manual trans have shot up in value as people prefer the manual trans over the F1 version - in fact the 550M with a manual trans is nearly going for 599 money now - not to mention the 575 6 speeds which are insane to buy now - all of these six speeds could have been bought a few years ago dirt cheap - not anymore
6 speeds will always have a certain connection to those who prefer a deeper connection to the car and who have more experience in the past with manual trans cars

I have been looking for a gated R8 and find those prices are rising now also.
Great car here for sale. Lover Meteor Gray! Have one with Natural Brown sport seats and PCCB's I might put up after I see how this one does.

Given how many water-cooled 911s show overrevs, I'd bet good money that a lot of the prissiest DME weenies have owned plenty of cars with undocumented money shifts and were none the wiser. Not to mention the countless stories you hear from people with range 4-5-6 overrevs on their Turbos that run perfectly well vs. the zero amount of times you hear that someone's engine rattled apart this morning from some botched shift 4 years ago.
Anyway, beautiful car with good spec. It should sell easily.
