2003 BMW e46 M3 6MT Alpine White Slicktop
2003 BMW e46 M3 6MT Alpine White Slicktop
Year: 2003
Make: BMW
Model: M3
Price: $21500
Mileage: 110000
Color: Alpine White
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CO
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
Positive Notes about the car:
-Clean title, carfax available, the carfax is amazing which was a big selling point for me, and I also have the pre-purchase inspection from the last owner who I bought the car from last year
-Carfax has about 20 entries for BMW of Tucson, AZ for oil changes from 0k-90k miles..so I have oil change records since it was new and all major service records (nothing huge- alternator, power steering lines, etc..)
-Paint is 100% original
-VANOS works perfectly, no rattling, and no modification needed
-Subframe was inspected and is in perfect condition (the subframe problems usually stemmed from severe track use or driving in an area such as Detroit with detrimental potholes.
-Rod Bearings (from the Technical Service Bulletin issued by BMW in 2003) were replaced with the upgraded bearings on this car around ~45k miles
-Takata Airbag Recall done
-Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) removed for those of us that have driven manual our whole lives and don’t need a nanny system for clutch slip assist (really improves the feel of shifting, and better for the life of the clutch)
-Valve adjustment JUST completed along with new valve cover gasket (it had a small leak) (part of the Inspection II which is about 8k miles away. The adjustment already being done saves a lot of cost for this service) I also had new spark plugs put in as well while they were performing the valve adjustment.
-All maintenance is up to date including a new oil change just a couple weeks ago
-New //M illuminated shift **** to update the shift feel (the original is included and can be swapped in about 1 minute)
-Paint is in excellent shape minus the typical very small rock chips (less than a millimeter) for the mileage
-Rear seat leather looks excellent
-Front/rear cloth is in great shape
-No rust, no leaks, and no burning of oil
Negative Notes about the car:
-Typical slight “plastic” wear on the driver’s handle (see pictures)
-The bolstered seat leather has slight wear, but was refinished a couple years ago and still looks very decent
-The only exterior blemish is a small scuff on the bumper as shown in the pictures
Ownership history:
1st owner: Special ordered, drove for 10k miles
2nd owner: Drove mostly highway for 80-90k miles in AZ
3rd owner: The dealer where the car was sold to
4th owner: I acquired this car from this owner last year, a true BMW enthusiast (owned an e39 M5 as well) who had the car thoroughly checked by his BMW specialty shop in Denver (I have records for this...the car has had many expert eyes on it, as I refused to by one of the many abused M3s out there)
I love this car and I’m only putting it up for sale due to my two sons getting older and my needs changing to a 4-door, I'm finally calling it quits for a coupe, even though they always look the best. For the money spent, I’m not sure anything can beat this for a driver’s car. The S54 engine is very reliable if properly maintained. I also have a 2nd set of OEM M wheels with brand new Blizzaks which can be negotiated into the deal.
Feel free to call/text Matt at 310-616-6031
Have a Blessed Day! Thanks for looking!
