SOLD NOW- Was able to work out a great deal w/Grand Prix Motors in Portland Oregon- So, did literally 6 months of research... then took at least another 6 months to find a nice vehicle...

Finally bought it on 1/29 from AMHouston. Have had a blast with it, but at 61.. and 6" 1", it's more difficult getting in & out of it than I expected... It's not too far off the Mark I B Ford GT I had...

Since buying the car, I've done the following:
Put a new drivers side lower margin door seal on it
Did a proper AM TB flush of the PF fluid (with Lubrizol!)
Bought 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (tire Rack)
Installed the LED map lights from RedPants
Did new PPF to replace the OEM PPF (see earlier post).
Have clayed and ceramic coated the paint. It's literally 'glass smooth'
Bought the umbrella, the car cover, the battery tender (All AM accessories)
Two (2) new AM-Remote key fobs
It had a full annual service on 1/31 and was delivered to me on 2/2/2022.
Also have copies of AM-dealer records for service dating back a number of years.
Carfax is spotless.

It's a low mile flawless 6 speed manual V8V (rear emblem delete) with no paintwork, no stories, local Texas ownership and ready to go. Everything works. Wheels are all in very good shape & I have 2 spares wheels (1 front/1 rear). Colors are dark metallic blue (Midnight Blue) & black interior with silver stitching. Grey Alcantara headliner.

Milage as-of today is ~19,625. I bought it with about ~18,649, so I've logged about 1K miles in 9 weeks. It's been a lot of fun, but getting in & out...sure wish I was 20 years younger or better shape maybe (core strength)??

I'm thinking a similar, low milage 2006 CL55 would better suit me. Any interest on the board here? If so, please PM me! Thank you, Tom-

I agree with you on the challenge of getting in the car. It was much easier in my younger days. More motivation for flexibility and training!

Hi thank you for the very kind words. I appreciate that. Clearly I should’ve stayed away from motorcycles (dirt bikes) in my younger days. I’m certainly feeling it now.

No sir. Still have it tucked-away in the garage. I really haven’t marketed it, just drive it once a week or 10 days.

 

 

So, still looking for a nice 05/06 CL55, but considering a P30 2006-2008 SL55 as well.... Heck, even a nice non-P30 car may work!!! Just no grey/tan/beige interiors please!

 

Was able to find a super clean CL55 AMG up in the PNW. Vehicle will be headed up that way soon!
