I'm considering a trade deal. The dealer is offing me ~$30k for my 996 and wants $42k for the 545i 6speed auto, sport package, 45k miles.

What do you guys think about this deal. nevermind the why would you's...

 

How many miles on your 996? I think you could get a better price on the 545 with those miles.

 

Here's one with 25k miles. Asking for $45k, I'm sure you could get it to $42k.

My 996 has just over 60k miles. I'm going to make them include a 100k mi warrantee with the 545i or no deal. I prefer local cars as trade in is needed. But thanks for the comparison car. I'll find some more and use them in negotiation.

If you want to ease the pain a bit, I would be interested in some of your mod parts... PSS9's in particular...

This may not help you, I have a 2005 545 w/ sport package, Titanium Silver with Grey Leather interior in excellent condition. I am leasing the car and just purchased a GT3. My lease is up at the end of this year. I would be interested in selling the car for the lease buyout or someone taking over the lease (but the payments are on the high side). The car has approx. 6,000 miles. No accidents, dings, body or paintwork and has another 2 and 1/2 years left on the warranty. I just checked the lease buyout and it is currently $46,260. Let me know if there is any interest.
