sms is infamous around these parts
996TT Brakes

Does anyone know if this would be a "bolt-on" upgrade to my 996 C4 narrow body without need of additional brake biasing and other mods, etc?

Should bolt right up. Not 100% sure though. Would say about 80%

The C4S and Turbo brakes are 100% interchangeable but they are also the same

WILL NOT bolt on....C4 and C4S/TT have different hubs.....so you need about $3K in parts to use TT/C4S brakes...its better and cheaper to do a Brembo upgrade....Sharkwerks I think makes a custom hub with it redrilled to fit C4S/TT brakes....

TT Brakes

thanks newport.
looking now at lots of brake upgrade options but with the SC in intensive care the "health insurance" funds are a bit lower than normal.....

I hear ya...I have a complete list of parts including the Porsche part numbers of what you need....once I called the dealer and got a price on the hubs, carriers, etc...NOT INCLUDING the rotors and calipers....I decided against the upgrade....
