I have the battery, just looking for a mounting option, this seems to be the easiest.

I've got one for sale, listed on the mart at PCA.ORG. What do you want to put it in? They don't have one for 996/997.

I have the Rennline brackets for the PC-925 and PC-680. The PC-925 bracket has never been used, because,as I mentioned, it does not fit the 996 battery box, despite what the Rennline website says. The PC-680 fits the 996 just fine. I used mine for about 6 months.

I also have an adapter bracket for the PC-925 and the PC-680. PC-925 shown here. They are $20 each. You will have to fabricate your own hold-down strap. They install with the factory battery clamp.

okay, but shouldnt you remove the old battery box and use this one with the existing holes in the battery area ?

 

My 680 is getting weak. It has an aluminum mount of some kind. If a 925 doesn't fit I may get one of your mounts.

 

The "battery box" is an integral part of the unibody. It's not removable. The bracket pictured above is designed to replicate the base of a Group 48/49 battery, and yes, it does use the existing holes and OEM clamps in the battery box. Unfortunately, somebody else saw my post and bought the last one. It shipped a couple days ago. I only have the prototype left, which I need to manufacture more of them.
