The Tirerack website lists the weights at 18.9 lbs for the 18"x8.5. Is this correct? It's not 17.5 lbs. but still pretty good.

Ordering a set through my work for my 05 LGT (18x8, 5x100) for track/street purposes, along w/ a set of new Potenza RE-11 (225/40R18) tires. You guys wouldn't have any RE-01R's lefotver in that size, would you?

Final production on the 10" rears is going on now. We should have final weights soon. All they have provided us so far us is for the fronts at 18.5.

These wheels are gorgeous. I'm personally lusting after a set in orange.

I have a fitment question:

I've got a 996 Carrera, lowered on H&R coilovers. The current wheels are factory 18" turbo twists, wearing 225/40/18 front with 15mm spacers, and 285/30/18 rear with 7mm spacers.

The tirerack.com page recommends 265/35/18 tires for the rear wheels. Will it be possible to use my current (brand-new, i.e. <200 miles) rear tires on these wheels? Will I have clearance issues?

Thanks!

Jon

Wow these are some seriously light wheels. Even lighter than TE37's, which weigh in at 17.9lbs 18x8.5 and 19.6lbs 18x10. Very impressive, specially for a cast wheel! I wonder how durable these are.

Edit: There seems to be a discrepancy between what Damon wrote and tirerack's spec. So what's the final weight on these?

I've talked to the folks at Tirerack, and the posted weight - 18.9 lbs for the 18x8.5 is correct.

Wow. Even 18.9 lbs for a 18x8.5 cast wheel is amazing. Kudos to OZ for making something truly special at a very competitive price.

Procedure here is to post on our website what WE weigh them at vs. what the manufacturer tells us what they weigh - there's sometimes a difference. So, as they come in they get weighed.

5 x 130 bolt circle wheels are starting to trickle in. We have received and weighed 18 x 8 ET57 and they are at 17.5 lbs.

265 is OE, but 285 is no problem. Should fit fine.
