FS: CF Steering wheel (w/ airbag...w/ a twist)

I recently purchased a 996 CF steering wheel that was damaged during shipment and I ended up getting another CF steering wheel. I will be selling the damaged one but here's the twist. It's currently at a body shop to be recleared to see if it'll help "fill in" the cracks. If not, I've asked the body shop to spray it a solid color (silver/matte black/etc).

Whoever ends up getting the SW can have their choice of color. Here are the pics of the crack

I got it from AudiKP (great seller)

My airbag is the non-leather/stock ones that came with the car.

Price: $850 obo painted any color with the airbag. Sorry but I will not part out either. Thanks

Edwin

You haven't described what model it is for, but I assume it is for a 996.

HOLLYWOOD is infamous around these parts
Have you ever known of anyone to have a SW painted? Just wondering how well the paint holds.. I have a wood SW and was thinking of painting it, I'm just afraid the paint won't hold. What do you think? Thanks, HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood,

I've had my interior peices painted before and no problems over 5 years. The way I see it...if the paint on the body panels can handle the rain, constant change in temp, sun, etc, it can handle anything we throw at it (unless you wear brass knuckles when you drive )

Before the "no going back" paint. Are the cracks through the surface, or like most of my factory carbon cracks under the surface?

It's on the surface since it was damaged during shipping.
