For Sale Champion RG5 Wheels/Tires

This thread has moderator approval.... VSE Chuck

I'm listing these wheels for a fellow member.

For sale Champion RG5 19" wheels with tires for wide body fittiment. Fronts are 8.5 with 235/35 and rears are 11.5 with a 44 offset and 315/25 tires. One rim has small curb rash and an area of scuff on the tires.

He wants $3,500 shipped anywhere in the US.

Please e-mail him for pictures and more details. cpayne63@yahoo.com or his cell at (916) 412-9763.

The wheels are beautiful, and if they fit a narrow body this ad would be non-exsistant they'd be on mine.

Post Champion Motorsport RG5 Forged Monolite PS2 Porsche

Steve, thanks for the listing.

I thought I'd add some specifics about my wheels/tires for sale. They are a matching set of Champion Motorsport RG5 Forged Monolite Wheels in excellent condition for Porsche Widebody Carrera 996, 997, or Cayman. These rims/tires will fit any wide body w/out spacers in the rear or you can mount them on any 996, 997 or Cayman for that extra wide look. Rears rims are 19"x11.5" 5 lug Porsche pattern with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 315/25 ZR19 98Y Extra Load Radial X 220 treadware AA Traction A Temperature tires in excellent condition. Front rims are 19"x8.5" 5 lug Porsche pattern with matching Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 235/35 ZR19 91Y Extra Load Radial X tires 220 treadware AA Traction A Temperature tires in excellent condition. 3 of rims/tires are in perfect condition. The 4th has some very minor curb rash and small surface cut on side tread (see picture). New wheels list for $7,000, plus tax. Tires alone (rears) were $600 plus tax and mounting each! Fronts were $350 plus tax and mounting each. That's $2,000 in tires alone! Get virtually new for 1/3 of the price. Sporty yet classy look, Ultra Light High Performance Forged Monobloc wheels. Wheels came off my '04 996 turbo without spacers and with standard Porsche lugs/locks (see pics). Lugs are not included in this purchase. May have to break down wheels/tires to ship but will try to ship mounted. Looking for $3,500 shipped. Can also pick up in NorCal.

This is what is stamped on the hub: Champion 19X11.5 JCH44 MAX LOAD 715KG 0610 027 603

This is what is stamped on the spoke: RG59115R44SVC1

Please call or email with any specific fitment questions. Thanks, Chris (916) 966-4667 (hm), (916) 412-9763 (cell), cpayne63@yahoo.com

Champion Motorsport RG5 Forged Monolite Wheels Porsche

Thanks Rich. Beautiful car BTW. I noticed your RG5 19"'s, too. Very nice. Porsche's & Champions just go so well together. I was contacted by a member with a 997 turbo & he was inquiring about the fit. You may have the same exact wheels. Do yours have the same stamp on the rim & spoke that my have? Am I reading it correctly as a 44 offset?

This is what is stamped on the rear hub: Champion 19X11.5 JCH44 MAX LOAD 715KG 0610 027 603. Stamped on the rear spoke: RG59115R44SVC1

This is what's stamped on the front hub: Champion 19x8.5 JH2 53 MAS LOAD 715KG 06 10 02725. Front spoke: RG 5985R53SVC1

So I'm wondering if that means the rears have a 44 offset and the fronts have a 53? Maybe you can shine some light. The most important question is that since they fit an '04 996 turbo perfectly without spacers, would they fit a 997 turbo as well?

Thanks a bunch,

Chris

I would seriously consider these wheels to buy but I am not sure you could come close to fitting 11.5" rears with 315's on a 987 platform unless you went widebody.

Not sure. You might want to check with Champion or put it out there for the forum. Maybe someone has done it before. But, let me know what you want to do a.s.a.p. because I've got a lot of interest. Thanks, Chris (916) 412-9763 (cell), (916) 966-4667 (hm), cpayne63@hotmail.com or cpayne63@yahoo.com

Oh, just another note. My friend with the 997 found out that the wheels would fit but would need a little bit of machining in order for the tire temp/pressure sensors to be fitted correctly and therefore remain functional. He's checking into the exact procedure and cost. Thanks, Chris

This guy's a kook and very rood. He kept trying to lowball me below the minimum starting bid and below market value and proceeded to tell me I should be lucky to take his offer. He never actually bid on my auction, which, in fact, has been squared away. I took the wheels in to have them assessed for damage because I found that one some hidden damage which I had repaired. If anyone is being blatant here it is he, by using my full name and accusing me of "the most blatant criminal activity he has ever witnessed" on a public forum. Guess he's never heard of libel laws. Anyway, call me with any questions. Thank you, Chris

Again, this guy is a bitter pill and continues to dig his own grave. It is not his auction and he never bid on it. He has absolutely no idea what really happened and why. Everthing has been squared away with the only bidder and there are no hard feelings. Check my feedback. Thank you, Chris
